Tax Deduction for your pet?
This is what they are trying to get passed in the house.

I'm sorry but the government has people trying to get the earned income credit for kids that aren't even their own. I highly doubt people are going to substantiate their pet expenses.

As long as I pass REG before this goes into effect, I couldn't care less what other tax laws they pass.
My old CW was doing a 1040 for someone this tax season and they included copies of their dog's vet bills and called them medical expenses. It was hilarious watching her make that phone call to let them know that it didn't count.
