Need Reco for Mani/Pedi Party
Hi ladies! I'm a BM in an upcoming wedding and the bride has expressed interest in doing mani/pedi outing for her bachelorette party. Any recommendations on where to go? Or, do you know of someone that will come "on location" to do a house party? How would payment for this work? I imagine it would get pricey so would it be appropriate to ask guests (not including the bride...which I presume cost would be split among the BMs) to pay their own way? Thanks!
Re: Need Reco for Mani/Pedi Party
I recommend Divine Salon and Day Spa in Cold Spring. Anie Agee owns that spa - I have been seeing her for 10 or 11 years now. She did my wedding party for my wedding day and did an excellent job. Her salon is a couple years old, but she's been in the business for years! She has a servant's heart - and I mean, she takes the happiness of her customers very seriously and is probably the most attentive person I've ever met in this industry. Example: when you get your hair cut by her, you also get a complimentary neck massage. Also, on my wedding day, I got a complimentary back and neck massage.
Anyway... I know she does do house calls but I'm not sure how the pricing works on that. She, I'm sure, would work with whatever the budget was.
You can tell her that Amanda Rosen recommended you contact her and she might give you a deal or something.

I planned a similar thing for a wedding I was in last year and we did it at Identity Salon in Kenwood. They also have a person who only plans groups and they were very good! We had 4 who did the whole day package of a massage, mani/pedi and hair and then probably 5 or 6 others who joined us for just mani/pedi. Everyone paid for their own except the bride and we split the cost between the bridesmaids.
It was fun! They had food for us and I took in mimosas and it was soooo relaxing! We did it the day of the rehearsal so our nails would be done the next day for the wedding and our hair would be done that night for the rehearsal
