Just had a quick ?....a week or two back someone posted something asking you about Vitex (I think you talked about it at a get together)...I just heard about it today from someone who is trying to get pregnant and now I'm curious b/c I heard it twice now

Vitex is an herbal supplement that is said to help bring on ovulation and also increase luetal phase (the time between ovulation and your period). I did lots of research and it seems like people mostly use it to lenghten the luetal phase, but others swear it helps you ovulate.
I have been taking it in liquid form (the droplets) bc after going off BCP 14 months ago, my cycle has been all over the place. I am also charting, which has been really helpful with learning about my cycle since going off the pill and I definitely recommend charting to anyone looking to learn more about their body. Hope that helps...I got the supplement at GNC in the liquid herbal supplement section.
Thanks...I'm done with the pill in Jan and I'm nervous b/c I have no clue what it's going to be like after being on it for so long and we want to start TTC right away. I did some research on it and it seem some people took it as soon as they went off the pill b/c it helped regulate them and also with PMS symptoms...is that ok to take it right away?
Also, does GNC sell the pill form? and also how much do you take? I've read anywhere from 500-1000 mg and most said to split the dose and also to take a break after a few weeks of it.

I am sure that it couldn't hurt you if you took it right away, but it might be unnecessary.
GNC does sell it in pill form. I opted for the drops bc I read somewhere that it gets into your system quicker that way. My dosage is different since it is in liquid form, but I take 2 mL a day.
