Hello ladies! My name is Jennifer and I'm a long time knottie/nestie/bumpie.
My husband, myself, my step daughter, and my son will be moving to Guelph. My SD is going to Guelph and she and my DH will be leaving California on Monday and driving our stuff over. My son and I will be flying a couple weeks later after things get settled with house/job. My DH is Canadian, born and raised in K/W.
I was a teacher in California, though I'll be a SAHM once we move. I'm looking forward to joining some mommy groups to meet new folks since I'm leaving the only place I've ever lived.
Anyway, hello and I look forward to chatting with you all. I hope you don't mind newbie Canadian questions.
Re: Introducing myself
Hi and welcome! Congrats on your baby!
I used to live in Guelph - my husband and I both went to university there. It is a great school and a nice town. I currently live in KW, so not too far away from where you'll be.
Let me know if you have any questions about the area.
Good luck with the move!
Welcome here! I've never heard anyone refer to themselves as a bumpie. But then again I don't spend much time over there.
I'm Krista and I'm a teacher too. But I live in chilly Manitoba.
Best of luck adjusting to your new home and life and welcome to our board!
Welcome! My name is Sarah, I live just outside Toronto and we are expecting our first in October.
Good Luck with your move - I hope it's not too much of a shock going from California to Guleph!
Hello!
I live in guelph, so let me know if there is anything I can help with.
?
Welcome!
My name is Pam, and I live about 3 hours south of Guelph in Windsor, Ontario.
I am a tax accountant, but am currently on maternity leave for my daughter who turns 1 on Sunday!
Welcome. I remember you from the TTTC board. Hope you like Guelph. Glad you're moving in the summer; the winter could be a bit of a shock to your Californian system
I'm Amy, live in the GTA and am expecting my first in January.
Good luck with the big move!
Thanks for the welcome ladies!
CBL, many congrats on your little one on the way. I love seeing IF successes.
Welcome! I'm in Brantford, which isn't too far from Guelph.
Of course we don't mind newbie Canadian questions. I have a little one who is 8 months old and I'm all for mommy support groups!
Hope to see you post lots
Hi Jennifer, I too remember you from TTTC. Congratulations on your beautiful son! I live in Toronto, but I'm from London. Guelph is about halfway between the two, so I drive by it on the 401 fairly frequently. I've heard it's a nice place.
Good luck with the move!
Hello and welcome!
I'm from Toronto and only really know Guelph for it's oh-so-fabulous country bar called The Ranch. I wish I had more friends who liked country music so that I could go there more often.
Welcome to Canada! I see you are a gold poster (impressive!) so I expect we'll be seeing lots of you around the board
Welcome!
I have to admit that I came across your blog a little while ago on another board, and have been following it for awhile now. I hope you enjoy living in Canada.
