Dog groomer in York?

Can anyone recommend a good dog groomer in York. I can no longer lift Lucy to bathe her. She has an autoimmune disease that affects her nails. Its currently in remission but she is very sensitive to having her nails touched and I want someone experienced and gentle to trim them. TIA!

Re: Dog groomer in York?

  • Hi - I'm not sure what part of York you're looking at, but I use Tattle Tails in the West York area along Market St.  Her name is Jordan and she has a really nice set-up in her basement (we're talking the whole works!). A few times she cut my dogs nails a little short and they would bleed when I brought him home, so I told her the next time and she was super nice about it and she was glad I said something, otherwise she would have no idea. If you want more details/info, let me know!

  • I actually asked this question the other day and got some recs for the York area. My DH was asking around and a lady he works with takes her dog to Top Coat 'n Tails in Red Lion. I can't speak from personal experience because we haven't taken our dog there yet, but we're going to give them a try to have her nails trimmed.
