Hello everyone
I am a Boston nestie traveling w/ my DH to Montreal in September. Hoping anyone can help?
I have been to Montreal before(10 years ago with college friends doing college things- so different scene than now); DH has never been.
Can anyone recommend some great nightlift options? Restaurants, lounges, bars/clubs? Things we like: people watching, wine, dancing, etc...
Thank you so much!
Re: Traveling to Montreal!
I like Modavie resto-bar, it is a tasty restaurant with live jazz every night, in old Montreal:

I have only been to Montreal on business so I don't really have any other recommendations. HAVE FUN!!!
Aux Vivres is an incredible vegan restaurant. Worth visiting even if you aren'y vegetarian. ?They have great food, smoothies and desserts.
L'Avenue is a popular breakfast spot. ?There is often a line, but if you like eggs benedict, this is the place to go. ?(I don't and usually order something else, which is always delicious).
Le Pistol is great for late night sandwiches, it's a 007 themed pub.
Make sure you make time to get some Montreal bagels. ?mmm. ?I prefer St. Viateur's style. ?They are incredible right out of the oven, and they have great breakfasts too. ?
There is a restaurant in the dark there to that's quite trendy. ?"O Noir" or something? I don't remember, but if you are feeling adventurous it may be a good stop.
?
For museums, the Musee D'art Contemporain de Montreal is a great one to visit. ?It's a good size to see lots and not be overwhelmed.
?
Have a great trip!!?

1. Old Port - Beautiful old part of Montreal with cobblestone roads, nice little pubs and you can see the beautiful Notre-Dame Basilica. Also, Andrea mentioned above Modavie bar - great food/live music.
2. Mount Royal - Great place to walk, it's a lookout point where you can see all of Montreal.
3. People Watching - Sit on a terasse on Crescent St. downtown in the evening (but get there early because they fill up fast!). A nice stroll along St.Laurent street or St.Catherine's downtown will do too
4. Shopping - The most famous shopping in Montreal is the Underground City ? It's a shopper's dream! One major section is reached via Peel and McGill metro stations and another via Bonaventure station.
5. Bars/Clubs - Rouge (I always have a good time there), Tokyo Bar, Newtown.
6. Restaurants - Sho Dan (for sushi), Milos (for Greek - a little pricey), Schwartz's Deli (best smoked meat), Basi (Italian - I've never been, but heard it was good). There's so many others...
7. Other Attractions - Casino, Biodome, Botanical Gardens, Art Museum
Mrs Vicki- Thank you!
