I survived my first day back
Ugh. Back to work. I made it.
I have to tell you, it is so strange having a job with a start and and end like this. The first day of work is the WORST for me, and having a first day every single year, even when I keep the same job, is so weird. 
I'm lucky because i don't have a 5th period, so every other day I am done teaching at 12:15. Not too shabby.
Tomorrow is going to suck, though. 3 of the exact same class, all day long. Blah.
I want to go back in time. Waaah.

I'm sorry, I can't wrap my brain around the concept of being done at 1215 - does that mean you can leave at 1215?!!

No, I can't leave. I have to be here until the end of the day...it's my time to plan, make copies, answer e-mails, etc.
The students are okay so far. I don't hate them already, so that's a good sign!
I like having an end date - I haven't started my new contract job yet (I think 8/31 is when she wants me to start), but I'm already looking forward to 12/9.
that sucks. will you have enough to keep you busy? I suppose you could always nest!
I have more than enough to keep me busy!! I will still be here late.

How long does it take you to remember the names? I would be terrible with that.

Oh man, I should make you guys a list of my weird names one of these days.
It takes me until about winter break to learn all the names. I'm terrible with names and learning 200 of them is so difficult for me.
It's not, they just gave us longer breaks this year. We have 3 weeks off in winter and 2 weeks off in spring.
