Clicky Poll: I think I'm giving up on weeding for this year
The weeds in the front flowerbeds are outta control.
I didn't get to them right away in the spring, and now they are just out of hand. I can spend an hour or two out there weeding, and it doesn't look like I made a dent.
I hate that it looks awful, but I just can't keep up with it.
The funny thing is that even with all the weeds, my flowers are flourishing nicely. They're just surrounded by weedy ickiness.
I'm thinking about just giving up for this year, and starting out next spring with some barriers underneath the mulch (didn't do that this year), and just keeping a better eye on it.[Poll]
Re: Clicky Poll: I think I'm giving up on weeding for this year
Sounds like next year you need to use Preen Weed and Feed, it is fertilizer with weed killer in it. So you have beautiful flowers and no weeds : )
Suck it up and keep trying.
Any of the flowering or grass-style weeds that are allowed to go to seed will just be worse next year, even with the paper bags. The paper bags won't stop the most aggressive of them, which are the ones that are probably making it look the most awful. You don't want to let them get away with it.
