How was everyone's weekend? Do anything interesting?
?
We went to a wedding for one of Kevin's football buddies from college. I was not really looking forward to it, because I was never really friends with the football guys (and because 2 of the guys were pretty hurt that they didn't get invited to our wedding, and 1 is very vocal about it [the other just leaves passive aggressive facebook messages]). It turned out ok - it was mentioned about 4 times that they weren't invited, of course - but mostly everyone was having a good time catching up. On the down side, the bar was allowing shots and made good friends w/ the football guys and kept bringing them lots more beers. The cocktail hour started at 3, reception at 4 and we were out by 8:30 because my husband couldn't stand w.o swaying. And it was a 2 hour drive back home, because he also didn't think ahead to book a hotel room and so we couldn't find one. Oh well, it all worked out and we had a good time. ?
Re: Here we are again
Sounds like you had fun Meag, even if you weren't looking forward to it.
My weekend was good. I did absolutely nothing, except go get chinese food that I was craving and do food shopping. I needed to rest. I'm so tired all the time. I swear I slept until 9am yesterday, and then my husband woke me up. I got on him about that, but if he didn't who knows how long I would have slept. I hope this week goes by quick, we have our first drs appt on Thursday and I'm looking forward to that.
Hope everyone has a great Monday.
I was away at a 2-day training on Thurs/Fri and then DH and I went away for the weekend to visit friends in Jersey. We had a great ime and I can't believe it's Monday already!
Tomorrow morning, we have our big 20 week ultrasound and cannot wait to see this baby again!!! I've let DH make the decision if we will find out the gender or not and he's still on the fence. I think it's going to be a game-time call. I'm fine with it either way. In any case I'l be back tomorrow afternoon with some sort of story or news!
Meag - Glad you had fun anyway!
Kelly - expect the fatigue to last until 12 weeks or so, that's just how first tri goes. Good luck at your appt :-)
Canon 50D, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, Speedlite 430EX II
Kelly - I think you are supposed to be exhausted and get to sleep, you know, to make up for the sleep that you won't be getting anymore once the baby comes
hope your energy comes back soon, its no fun feeling wiped out all the time
Jen - I cannot wait to hear about the baby! Its funny that you guys are wavering now. Kevin and I are completely opposite on this. I want it to be a surprise, because how often are you ever truly surprised? I think its part of the fun of it. And he wants to know. We'll see what really happens when the time comes....
The weekend was great!
Friday- looked at SUVs, decided to wait a bit til the HHR is paid off then trade in, rented movies and watched 2 of the 4 that night.
Saturday- relaxed then went to the bar with friends
Sunday- lunch with the family. Normal stuff.
I start school tomorrow.
Saturday was Rich's grandfather's birthday (86!) so we celebrated at Olive Garden and then watched the Mets game at home. It was cool to watch the 69 Mets being celebrated! Too bad the Mets lost tho!
Sunday we went with my mother in law to see Inglourious Basterds. It was pretty funny and even though it was 2.5 hours long, it was really good. There were a couple of gory parts but overall it was pretty good!
Today I worked and then had the final part of my CPR course! whoo! thank goodness that is over with!
Jen: good luck at tomorrow's apt. My co-worker is 18wks and found out today that her baby is a boy! She has a 12 yr old daughter already, and really wanted another girl, but she is happy she found out so she can start her baby registry and narrow down the choices to boy things only. Whatever you decide I'm so excited for you!!
Kel: Hope you feel less tired soon. So happy for you too!
Meag: glad you had fun at the wedding! Let us know when you find out about your job!
