T&P Please

I just got an emaill from my dad. My grandfather (who is around 80) fell off a ladder on Wednesday (I don't know why it takes us this long to find out things - my grandma just doesn't call people). Anyway, I don' t know why he was up there to begin with but he thinks he can get around a lot better than he can and he just can't anymore. My grandmother was also at her "silver sneakers" workout so he was home alone and had to crawl/drag himself into the house to call 911.  He broke/fractured 26 bones - ribs, vertebrae, etc. His first vertebrae is broken and has left him paralyzed. He will not walk without surgery. He may not walk with surgery. With numerous heart attacks, he may not make it through surgery. I don't know if they'll attempt it or not. If not, they'll more than likely have to move into a home because my grandmother doesn't drive and their current home isn't wheelchair accessible without a lot of modification.
