Re: >>HAPPY MONDAY!<<

  • My weekend was relaxing and full of exercise.  I put us on a buget when we moved here and we've been going over every month.  I'm trying to save up some money so we can move back to MN in a few years which will not be paid for like all our other moves.  So, we've been strict this month.  We said if we went over...that was it.  So....we have $30 left.  lol.  We watched a ton of netflix movies, cooked dinner in, and I started working out a lot.  It was actually a really nice, fun, relaxing weekend!

Here's to hoping we can be good next month and not overspend.

  • I had a relaxing weekend.

    Friday: Did nothing Yes

Sat: Went to the library, got a free Sprinkles cupcake thanks to Twitter, watched I Love You Man, drooled over Jason Segel

Sun: GTG and then a party w/ MH's friends. Passed out.

Today begins my first full week back at work and I have no lesson plan to speak of. Yay! Teacher of the year!

Today begins my first full week back at work and I have no lesson plan to speak of. Yay! Teacher of the year!

let your kids watch movies today or something.  you have to slowly work your way back into school.

fri: sushi dinner, went to a bar and listened to a cover band.

sat: I have no idea, how sad.  we hung out with the neighbors at night.

sun:  hung out in the pool, chores around the house.

this week:  enjoying my last week as a lady of leisure!  and going to CA for a few days - whee!

  • sat: watched district 9, inglourious basterds, and (500) days of summer

    sun: read a book, napped

this week: make some progress on my really long to-do list. No lady of leisure should have a list this long. It's shameful.

how were these?  I want to see IB and 500 days.

I liked District 9 because it's different from most alien movies (and I loooove sci-fi). IB was well-written, had a great story, fun characters, terrific action. I loved (500) Days too, because I'm such a sap. I think you should see IB and (500) Days!

  • it was a "meh" weekend.  the hub and i were inexplicably grumpy throughout the last few days.

spent friday evening up in big bear helping the hub's grandma (g-wan) get ready for the winter.  in august.

saturday my mom came over for a quick visit in the morning, then we had lunch at louise's trattoria in pasadena with my brother and his fi.  i then spent the rest of the evening at home watching the high school musical marathon while the hub went to the cigar shop and played poker.

yesterday was church and then a quickie road trip to see the teen up in oxnard.  we had dinner with her and BFF & family and it was a nice drive.

the teen starts school tomorrow, so that's the big deal for the week.  and then i have dinner with some fun friends on friday.

  • The weekend was fun but like always it wasn't long enough.

Fri: Relaxed after work with H

Saturday: H was at Epicenter the whole day assisting a friend of his who is a photographer. I went to see the Time Travelers Wife with a couple of friends and cried my eyeballs out. After the movie went to RA for sushi and drinks. Went home and watched Twilight.

Sunday: Ended up not visiting family friends in Walnut.  Had lunch at Cheesecake factory with H and did some shopping at Costco.

Nothing to look forward to this week except workSad

  • Fri: Spent most of the day shopping for fabric/notions/patterns for a bunch of upcoming projects, dinner in with H

Sat: Made a dress for the fall, lazy dinner in with H

Sun: Laundry, straightened up the house, made a skirt for CW's daughter, spent the evening watching TV and relaxing

This week: Hoping to eventually get over this illness from hell, BIL's b-day dinner tomorrow night, wedding in SD this weekend.

  • So happy this week!

Fri - Sun: was in SF.  Not fun, but necessary trip.  Highlight was seeing my mom, dad, and bro.  Other highlight was finding out I scored 2 new clients with secured retainers, makes me so happy.

Book gtg on Sunday - Marshmalo is def a hostess with the mostess. She had such a kickass spread.  Thanks again for hosting marsh!

    Countdown to my vacation wahooooo!

  • We had a good weekend in Vegas....although I'm bummed I missed a GTG. This week is a lot of craziness at work and school that I need to plow thru. :-(

  • I had a great weekend!

Friday- went to dinner with some friends for my H's birthday

Saturday- ran errands, then went to dinner for H's grandparents' 60th anniversary where my BIL and SIL announced they're pregnant with #4 (big oops baby), then came home and watched tv and cuddled with my H

Sunday- Friend's daughter's 2nd birthday. It felt like it was an all day affair with 100 guests and chasing after a toddler, I was exhausted.

  • Friday & Saturday: Convention, followed by an Ozzy Osbourne concert on Saturday night... we left two songs in due to technical difficulties & the fact that I really needed to be sitting and we couldn't see shiit (although Bella was dancing up a storm). He looks like he's had a lot of facial work done in the last few years, TV seems to mask a lot of it.
Sunday: Attempted to finish the motorcycle, found out the parts shop was closed starting this week on Sundays. Worked around the house, watched True Blood, finished the evening with red velvet cake & ice cream.

This week: help R finish the motorcycle rebuild so we can get it to the new owner, finish up some of the baby shopping (ugh).

  • This weekend was pretty good. It was the start of Ramadan for MH so that was a little tricky, but we got a LOT of stuff done.

However just got put on strict bed rest until Wednesday due to some pretty high BP readings....so that sucks. I am currently lying on my left side trying to type. And the inlaws fly in Friday afternoon. This week could very well suck.

Sad  I  remember how uncomfortable my sister was the last few days before my nephew was born. Hopefully Baby Zara will make an appearance soon.
