ugggh

Today is my first day back to work since my mat leave is up.  I really hate my job and am not looking forward to working again.  I can't find a new job, no one wants to hire a pregnant chick.

Anyways, I am hoping not to tell them about baby#2 for a while, but I don't know if thats going to work out.  My m/s is killing me today.  I've been puking for the last 5 hours, and I start work in 2.  I think its also a bit of butterflies...I don't want to leave my baby either.  Wish me luck today!

  • awww I'm so sorry you have to go through this! Of course you are going to miss your baby!

Do you always have m/s? Can you use the excuse of "bad food" for today? or you can say you're upset/nervous leaving your baby....I'd understand that.

Hope you feel better soon! GL

  • Good Luck!

On the bright side, the light at the end of the tunnel is already lit and you can start the countdown again :)

  • Good luck today! I know how horrible it must be to start a job again that you despise! I made the choice not to go back because I didn't like my job, but if I would have gotten pregnant again, I would have had to go back for sure. Oh well, like Sarah said, the countdown is on and then maybe after #2 you can just stay home or by then maybe you'll find a new and better job. Good luck!!
  • For sure the light is at the end of the tunnel!  Good luck today!

  • Sooo awful. First tri SUCKS. :( Plus leaving baby and going to work has got to be hard.

I hope it went well for you!

  • I hope the first day went okay!

ALso, I wouldn't totally rule out looking for a new job, especially if you're planning on going back to work after baby 2. I know a few pregnant women who've been hired for new positions (and they were a lot farther a long than you!)

The only thing that might screw you is that some places don't top up EI unless you've been there for a year.

Anyway, I hope it went okay, and even if you do end up sticking it out at least there's another mat leave in sight!
