Flaky Friends
Hey there! So I have four friends...yeah a bit pathetic...from all paths of life (grammar school, high school, sorority). Unfortunately they are all flaky (babies, grad school, jobs). I am in need for reliable friends. I tried groups within my church, but they are all over 40! (I'm 24.) Not sure where to go from there, and I can't depend on my hubby to entertain me all day every day for the next 60 years. Any suggestions? Any one in need for a new friend?

find a new church with a more mixed congregation. i don't think i could ever go to one with no one at all in my life group.
volunteer for an organization you're interested in--animal shelters, habitat for humanity, soup kitchen, the library, whatever.
take classes. there are cheap ones offered by cities, community colleges, and other organizations.
if i weren't a flaky grad student, there are a million hobbies, classes, and activities i'd love to pursue. oh wait, if i weren't a grad student, i'd probably have a job that would take up most of that time.
seriously, though, i'm busy, but i do make time for my friends when i can. and when i disappear for months at a time, i'm lucky enough that they understand (without calling me a flake), and we pick up where we left off.
Actually, I totally call you a flake behind your back.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I don't answer the phone. At all.
