I had a growth U/S today and found out my LO is breeched. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if she has moved at all. I hope she does turn but if she doesn't, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep her healthy. The doc was talking to me about a procedure that they can try and turn the baby at 35 weeks if still breeched, but I wasn't a big fan because it can induce labour, or because of it cause an emergency C-Section. Hopefully she turns on her own if not, I have to go in at 39 weeks.
How is everyone's else's pregnancies going? Hope everyone is feeling good.
Oh, Not sure if I did this earlier, but congrats Jen&Joe on your LO. He is a cutie.
Re: I may have a c-section
Thanks!
Have you checked our www.spinningbabies.com ?
Lexi was breech and I decided not to try the inversion technique with her b/c I have a friend whose baby died due to having the external version technique done( the umbilical cord got pinched and ended up cutting off oxygen to the baby a few hours after the procedure was done). There are some other natural ways to try turning a breech baby, but I felt that having a planned c-section was the safest for us.
Most breech babies will turn themselves sometime within 32-37 weeks so there is still hope for your little girl. If not then i say go for the C/S. With the spinal injection, labour and delivery are a breeze!
Yes! There are lots of ways to spin that baby. Get cracking!
I have friends who've had much success with things like acupuncture/moxibustion and chiro. There is still plenty of time.
