I can honestly say i cried on the way home but here lately i cry at anything. They did the ultrasound and the placenta is pulling away from the wall which is causing the bleeding. At my previous ultrasound the placenta was fine. So im ordered to be on bedrest still until my next dr appt which she moved to two weeks from today.
Once again she stressed that i have a threatened miscarriage which means it may or may not happen. I dont care i hate hearing that everytime it scares me! My original appt was to be in a week but she said it wont have healed enough to show up in a week so thats why i go in 2 weeks. The only way for it to heal is bedrest. If it continues to pull away from the wall i will lose the baby if not it will reattach on its own and it could stay the same which she said then nothing would happen.
She then told us i cannot not go on vacation at the end of this month which i had already figured. Now nick is trying to figure out if we can recoup any of what we spent. We didnt buy travel insurance at the time i wasnt even pregnant then. Its way too risky so i understand.
ETA: She said more then likely i will definately go into premature labor due to my current condition and is considering a c-section for me as well as long as the baby can grow to full term. Im praying that they do please!
Re: Back from dr.
Thank you for the update. Did they say what was causing this? I really, really hope it re-attaches and this wil be a distant memory in the months to come.
Please keep it easy and I will continue to keep you, Nick and the baby in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm glad they were able to figure out what was causing all the bleeding and like pp said hopefully this will all be a distant memory once the baby comes. Rest up and stay off your feet!
I don't know if this will be comforting at all but my cousin had this happen early in her pregnancy (probably around the same time as it is happening for you). She did NOT lose her baby. She did have the baby almost a month early though because it started to detach again (luckily it was caught since they were watching her carefully after the early detachment). Her son is happy and healthy and 7 years old now.
All that being said - stay in bed! I'm glad you know what's causing the bleeding now. Just remember, all you can do now is rest and try to remain calm for your little one.
