need a new doctor

I just moved to New York City from Boston, and this is my first post on the nest!  I am living in the Upper West Side and am looking for new doctors (both a primary care and ob/gyn).  I would like to go to someone in a large practice with at least a few female doctors that is not too far from where I live.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

  • Hi!  I have no advice but also just moved to NYC from Boston a couple of weeks ago.  Welcome! :)

  • I love my OB/GYN's office & kept going there even when I moved to Hoboken.  It's West Care Medical at 93rd & CPW.  Dr. Lurie is the one I see.

Welcome to the area & this board!

  • Welcome to NYC!  I moved here from Boston almost 5 years ago.

I'm on the UES but I go to Weill Cornell Med Assoc and they have a UWS office as well.  They have internal med, ob/gyn and pediatrics all in the same facility.  I don't know about the West side but the East Side office is very well run and they always take me on time or early for my appointments.  Worth checking out the West side office, I think.  Oh and it is affiliated with NY Presbyterian which is why I initially chose them.
