  I could not believe this story when i heard it last night. can you imagine going all those years! Plus not to mention the things that were done to her have definately taken a toll on her mental health as well as her now childrens health.

  I saw this yesterday when it was first breaking.  Just read all the details.  That is amazing that she returned after all that time.  I cannot imagine the emotions surrounding her and her mom when she found out she was alive.  If you do the math she apparently had her fist child at 14.  I cannot and do not want to imagine what that poor woman has gone through over the past 18 years. 

  Started TTC 11/07 BFP 09/24/08 Miscarriage 09/30/08 First cycle of clomid August 09 Second cycle of clomid September 09 BFP 09/30/09 Miscarriage 10/10/09 Three more rounds of clomid and no success Diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility Abnormal Bleeding for 3 months resulted in D&C but results were normal November 2010 100mg clomid but didn't respond December 2010 forced break for a cyst February 2011 150mg clomid but still no response March 2011 250mg clomid and responded! Ovidrel trigger shot and IUI on March 31 Beta #1 11dpo: 27 Beta #2 15dpo: 85 Beta #3 18dpo 276

  I heard about it yesterday.  THey had her stepdad on the Today show this morning.  It's so sad that someone would do that to her.  It's even more disgusting that apparently his probation officer didn't bother to check up on him at his home.

  Not that I condone the non-visits, the article said that it'd be pretty hard to tell she was out there.  There were a lot of trees and shrubs hiding the tents.

  yeah I saw that, Melanie.  I'm curious if any photos come out of the house.  I mean.. it's surburbia. I'm surprised it wouldn't have been reported SOMEHOW.

  But the neighbor who said she heard kids playing... isn't that sad that we've become that kind of society?  "Honey, there are KIDS playing.. do you think they live in those tents??"  "leave 'em alone, Irene.."

  See I wouldn't have dropped it that easily.  I would have kept an eye out for anything funny.  Sometimes it's better to be the over curious neighbor than the one who thought something funny was going on and then did nothing.  Can you imagine that feeling?

  I know that some of the sex offenders around here have complained because not only does their probation officer stop by, they actually go around the property and look.  I think that's what they should all do - especially in light of this.  Even if it is hard to see, why didn't the officer poke around outside?  And the neighbors...that's just ridiculous.  You know if she had called the police and said "My neighbor is a registered sex offender who has no children, but I think I hear kids playing in his yard..." they would have been there in no time.
