Birthday Gift Ideas

It's my best friend's birthday next weekend. She is the type that has everything and if she doesn't have it and wants it, she'll go get it for herself. She is single and lives in the city and makes way more money than I ever will! So it's always hard to get her a gift...and to make it ever harder, she always spoils me so I want to do something extra special. Any ideas? She loves clothes and shoes and girlie stuff. She is very much a city girl. And she is not really the sentimental type, so making her something like a scrapbook, although she would like it, is not really her thing. Any suggestions would be great!

Re: Birthday Gift Ideas

  • Hmm, people like this are tough to buy for!

What about  putting together something for her place - like printing a bunch of pictures of you her and other friends in black and white and framing them in black or white Ikea frames. It's a little sentimental, but not cheesy like a scrapbook, and might be perfect if she has an empty nook or wall in her place that could use some photos!

That or buy a cute going out shirt with some accessories (fun earings, belt etc.)

Both could be done fairly affordably, but I think would mean alot. Even though she has the $$ to go get stuff for herself, she might not always know what to get (or have the time to go pick it out/do the leg work to get the photo's printed/framed etc.)

    Good luck finding something!

  • What about a gift certificate for a mani or pedi to her favourite spot? You could make up a little gift basket with some bath goodies & put the gift certificate in with it :)

Or, if she's the type to take baths you can put together an "evening in" basket with a bottle of her favourite wine, maybe a book, bath stuff, etc..

  • One of my besties from highschool made me a reminiscing CD of all the musical memories we had (I totally forgot about more than half of them!) for my 25th bday (which feels like eons ago).

I still listen to it and smile. Genius idea and I wouldn't have thought of it myself. Didn't cost her much but means millions to me.
