Last spring I bought the Canon PowerShot G9, which is in the prosumer class of cameras (somewhere between point-and-shoot and DSLR). I do like it, but it was a compromise and it is somewhat limited. At the time I didn't want to spend the extra money to get a DSLR. I was probably also feeling like it would be too much of a project to figure out how to use a DSLR. But about ten years ago I knew how to use a film SLR, so I'm sure I could have given myself a little refresher course and been fine.
Anyway, now that I have my LO, I'm so very jealous of all the awesome siggy pics I see and wish I had a better camera to play with.
That is all. Just wanted to share that gripe.
Re: Camera regrets
That's true! I'm sure that was part of my reasoning. DSLRs are so darn big!
First of all, I have to say your new siggy pic is soooo cute!
Second, I have to agree with Pam on this, I love my DSLR but it is so big, it is a bit of a pain to take anywhere, I now what a decent point and shoot.
