my answer was: the cell phone. I can't even imagine being broken down, or in an emergency situation and not being able to call somebody.

Hmmm, interesting! I would have to say an obvious one--the internet! As a journalist, it makes my sometimes tedious job of researching, so delightfully simple. I can't bear to imagine the old school days when reporters had to actually hike to a library, or pull out an encyclopedia to double-check the simplest things that for me--take a few clicks. Thank goodness!

Wireless internet! It's not enough for me that I can have all of the information in the world at my fingertips in a matter of seconds - I want to be able to access it from anywhere, without having to plug into anything! Wink

When I was little, my parents used to call me into the living room from my bedroom just to change the channel for them!! Can you imagine? They couldn't be bothered getting up and walking 2 feet, so they made me come all the way in from the other end of the house to do it. And when they called me, at first they would make it seem like it was for something important, to make sure I would come. Thank GOD for the remote control!
