**MrsDe** I'm curious...

Tell me about Turks & Caicos. I get jealous everytime i see your siggy pic and your ticker! Wink I daydream of all places tropical for DH and i to finally get to but i don't know much about this place. Where are you staying? Did you book thru an agent? What do you guys do when you're there? (if you don't mind my asking all these questions...)

TIA! Big Smile

Re: **MrsDe** I'm curious...

  • No problem...I love talking about vacations, along with going on them. lol I went to T&C once and that was about 7 years ago. It's absolutely beautiful! It's actually not a very "tropical" beach. If you ever been to Aruba, it's more like that...dry and deserty, but the beaches are absolutely spectacular and I hear they have the best snorkeling spots in the world (last time I went, I didn't go snorkeling, just went to the beach...this time I plan on snorkeling). Last time I went, I stayed at Club Med's resort called Turquoise. The resort wasn't anything special and I wasn't really crazy about the food (but, I did hear they've redone the rooms since I've been there). This time the hubby and I are staying at the Sands at Grace Bay resort. My 'rents stayed there recently and said it was very nice. Plus, Grace Bay beach is one of the nicest beaches. I actually did book through a TA, but usually don't. But, being my parents were just there I figured I'd go through their TA here on SI called Milenium Travel. I think we got it for a good deal...we're paying $2200 for 8 days/7nights for air and hotel. We're on our own for food, but I hear there are some nice restaurants on the island. As for things to do, I'm a beach person and can stay on the beach from sunrise to sunset, so I don't really need too much to do, but I do plan on going snorkeling and would like to do a day trip, boat excursion to some of the other islands in T&C. If you'd like more info, feel free to ask! =) Also, you can try T&C's website www.turksandcaicostourism.com
