Do you have any studios you recommend for adult tap classes around Etobicoke? It's around the time I should be signing up if I want to take some. So far I have seen "The Dance Place" and "Innovative Rhythm Dance Studio" advertized.
I took lessons for a few months at a studio in Mississauga, but they allowed new people to join in at any time so there was basically no progression in skill level and I got bored .. They weren't in the year end show or anything either, which would be kind of fun to work towrad. I took tap for maybe 3 or 4 years before so I'm not great but I'm not at a beginner level either, so it's tough to find a decent adult class. But I love it!! LOL
Re: Nat- recommend dance studio for adult tap?
Absolutely! If you have basic tap down, you should definitely check out Shawn Byfield's classes.

He is a personal friend of mine. We grew up dancing together and he has been teaching tap and hiphop in TO for years and years. I used to take classes from him when I worked summer jobs downtown to keep in shape. He is SO much fun, super energetic, and you will learn lots of cool rhythms from him.
He is currently in the process of opening up his own studio (he used to teach in rented space). I believe it's opening up in Sept and he's offering ridiculously low prices for fall.
