Is poop and gift etiquette all we have to offer?

At the risk of looking like a postwh0re by this being my third post created still on the top half of the board.... PEOPLE!!! Where the eff are you? I see you're reading (thanks, Nest), but very little new threads.
I noticed a Friday night thread where some were lamenting the deadness of the board, so it's not just me mourning our more active times.
Any ideas on how to get things moving again? I can only think of so many topics.
