Morgantown area restaurants, need suggestions

Anyone familiar with that area and can suggest a nice place to have lunch on Labor Day?  Some of DH's relatives are staying at a B&B in Lancaster over the holiday weekend and want to meet up for lunch on their way back home Monday.

Re: Morgantown area restaurants, need suggestions

  • Shady Maple!!  It's not too far from Morgantown and there aren't really a whole lot of other places in the area anyway (at least not that I know of).  There is also the Windmill Family Restaurant.  That's right at 10 and 23, so it might be more convenient. I've never been there, but every time I drive by, the parking lot is full, so I guess that says something.
  • Sadly enough Shady Maple is closed on Labor Day. :(
  • I actually typed out that I thought to suggest Shady Maple, but that it was closed Labor Day.  I deleted it before posting, lol.

ETA: something close to the turnpike would be best since they'll be traveling it back to the Willow Grove area, and DH's parents are coming from Cornwall.

  • Oh, boo. I wasn't even thinking about Monday being a holiday.  Well, the Windmill is the only other place I can think of in the area, besides fast food.  It's just off the turnpike, so it should be easy enough for everyone to get to.  I'm sure there are other places, though. I just don't know Morgantown all that well, so hopefully someone else does!
  • I wouldn't suggest the Windmill.  Bistro on 10 is nice.  It's in Honey Brook, not far from Morgantown.  http://www.bistroon10.com/
  • On 2nd thought, Bistro on 10 might not be open that day either.  If you want something close to the turnpike, there's always the Old Village Inn.
