T & P's please.might be TMI for some.

so Dh told me sunday he felt a lump on/in his scrotum....he came to my office today to get it checked out....went and had an ultrasound. what he felt was a hydrocele (nothing to worry about, they are common)....but they found another mass that they are unable to identify. So Chris has an appt w/ a urologist Thursday morning. Our Dr said its probably nothing to worry about bc generally if its something very abnormal they are able to tell on the ultrasound. but the mass is very small.. a few cm x a few cm. so they aren't really able to see anything.

I'm a worrier. So i'm worried.

  • I'm a worrier too, I understand. Its better to find it and get it taken care of, whatever "it" might be. Good vibes headed your way!

Oh yes we are def going to get it taken care of. I make Chris go to the dr for everything, lol. He gets annoyed. but with this he actually told me to get him an appt bc he wanted to get it looked at. He said the ultrasound tech who did his ultrasound told him that she did another guy  a few weeks ago who had a huge mass and it turned out to be cancer. she said he let it go for 3 months and he was younger then chris... (he is 28).

Thanks! I came here bc i don't want to tell any of our family members anything if it turns out to be nothing serious. No point in getting everyone worked up if there is no need, right?  i don't really have any friends i can talk to... i have one, but her husband is BFF with Chris so i don't know if chris would want me to talk to her about it?

  • Jena, I think it's good that he's getting it checked out right away.  I'll be sending T&P's and hoping that it ends up being nothing at all.

  • So after reading over some paperwork we rec'd from the Urologist Chris was referred to, and speaking with the clinical coordinator at my office i decided to change the Dr.  that Chris is going to see.    In the paper work was a waiver that basically said " I, dr so & so, am affiliated only with LW hospital. I am not always on call and if you are seen at LW hospital and i am not on call they may transfer you to another hospital where there is a urologist".... and so on and so on about how he wont be held responsible and all this stuff that i was just kind of leary about. I mean obviously a dr can't be on call 24/7 365....but he is the only urologist for LW hospital....

So i found another Dr. that is associated with a huge medical clinic in our area, and he is probably affiliated with more then one hospital. I am much more comfortable with this dr. ...but chris appt isn't until next week now.
