Hi ladies -
Sorry for not doing a check in over the weekend. Life sometimes get's in the way of nesting.
A few questions for you to end our little experiment:
1. What have you learned from the exercise?
2. Did you see any weight loss
3. What does weight loss mean for you, is it just for vanity? health?
4. How are you going to continue on with your progress?
1. For me, I learned that I really do eat WAY too much. i'd love to blame my thyroid, metabolism, heredity or all of those, but at the end of the day, my idea of what a "right" potion size is for someone of my hight was totally off.
2. I lost a solid 4 pounds without using any type of "diet" food.
3. For me, the weight is more about self esteem than anything. When I feel "fat" i carry myself different, I don't feel "sexy" for my husband which translates into me not wanting to do the horizontal lambada as much. So I need to ask myself, is that cheeseburger worth not being intimate w/ my husband or the uslessness of having a poor body image. Usually, no.
4. I'm going to continue using weight watchers as a tracking tool. My next step is to cut refined sugar out of my coffee.
Thanks for jumping on the band wagon with me, i hope that you at least had some realizations about your eating habits that will help you (and me) be able to take the weight issue off the table.
Re: BiWi - Game Over
1. What have you learned from the exercise? That I eat (and drink) too many calories every day and that I don't exercise when it's hot. Nothing I didn't know already.
2. Did you see any weight loss Nope, but I feel so terrible about my weight that I refuse to look at the number on the scale. It'll only make me feel worse about myself. I have to go by how I feel and how my clothes fit.
3. What does weight loss mean for you, is it just for vanity? health? It's for both vanity and health. I don't want to feel fat and get winded by doing simple exercises because I'm carrying around 20 extra pounds. I also agree with you Kristen, it really impacts intimacy when you feel fat.
4. How are you going to continue on with your progress? I am going to stop using the "I'm too busy" lame-o excuse. I'm making a grocery list today and planning out my meals.
