Debt consolidation recs

DH and I want to consolidate our debt.  Any recommendations?

Thanks ladies!

Re: Debt consolidation recs

  • We used American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) and we liked them a lot. It sucks to be in that situation, but they helped get us under control.

  • I think friends of mine used Cincinnati Consumer Credit Counseling-which is now Apprisen maybe (or at least according to google).  I do know that it was a non-profit and I'm pretty sure they didn't have to pay any big "fees" like some shady companies charge.

  • I' used to share office space with Consumer Credit Counseling Services, like Daves mentioned. I'd recommend them.

I have worked with this company as a creditor and they were wonderful to work with. Things to note. You should not pay for their service. They get money from your creditors. For example, when they sent me a check for my resident we had a preset amount that they took out as a donation. If you choose to go with another company look for a non-profit and one that is government approved.
