Anybody else totally excited about this long weekend? I am! I am heading home to Wisconsin for the weekend- the first time I have been home since before the wedding. I miss my family and have been anxious to give my Dad a big hug-- he was in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago and broke his foot. He is fine, but I still just wanna hug him! Also going to see some of my friends from home and just have a nice, chill weekend.
What do you guys have going on?
Re: Labor Day Weekend Plans!
I'm taking Friday off for a nice long 4 day weekend
The ILs are coming up to visit other family in our area, so we'll probably spend time with them, and the Best Man in our wedding is turning the big 2-4, so we'll be in the City with him at some point!
And Red, I'm sorry about your dad
First college football game of the season on Saturday night so we're tailgating all day Saturday. Sunday we have to go to a Labor Day party at the in-laws, Monday we're going boating probably for the last time this summer if it doesnt rain. I can't wait for the weekend to get here.
Sorry to hear about your dad - motorcycle accidents scare the helll out of me - glad to hear it wasnt anything too bad.

Saco is only fun if you DO flip the canoes haha
Sat - Bachelorette party for my BM that's getting married on Halloween
Sun - Family picnic
Mon - Visiting a breeder about a puppy
I'm excited! We are heading up to Cleveland for one of my BFF's wedding! First reunion since our wedding, so I am excited to see everyone and be able to actually spend time with my friends!

Hypothetically, when you're 6 beers down, and you flip your canoe its funny. You are still sober enough to pick up all your stuff and put it back in your canoe. When you're 10-15 beers down and you flip your canoe, it's not quite as easy to regroup. You end up losing a pillow down the river, ruin all your wood to start a fire, and pretty much drown all your food. And somehow, even though your sleeping bags are double wrapped in garbage bags, they end up getting wet too. (TWSS)
I don't have any one thing planned, just lots of little things that accumulate to one awesome weekend:
Friday - Chargers vs. 49'ers preseason game (my first pro football game!)
Saturday - CrossFit PIA grand opening, then at night, CrossFit PIA grand opening PARTY!
Sunday - Recovering from Saturday, then to see AC/DC with the hubs in some kick-a$$ seats that I got him for his bday
Monday - Labor Day BBQ and pool party
This is all very true. It also sucks when you flip your canoe and drown your camera at the end of day 2, after taking 200 amazing pics of you and your friends, scenery, and general debauchery. It also sucks when you get an insane sunburn on the back of your neck because you didn't think of liberally applying suntan lotion back there.
Friday: Heading up to the Parent's houses and DH has his 5 year high school reunion we are going to.
Saturday: Going to the local Harvest Fest, which includes nummy food, parade, and street dance. DH is going goose hunting, of course.
Sunday: I am recovering from Saturday and DH is going goose hunting again. Then we have our TTD session, should be fun!
Monday: Head back to the cities.

Labor Day is my birthday. I think I've thrown enough parties this year that people have said they'd come to and then ditched, so we're all going to the county fair. If you get there before 1:00 admission is only $1 so I think they can all just suck it up and pay $1. They don't even have to get me a gift (like they would).
Bitter much?
