Another reason I don't have BOTB

Re: Another reason I don't have BOTB
I understand she's kidding, but seriously, WTF.
KB, you don't sleep-molest your DH when your CM is fast and furious? What kind of wife are you?!!!
Lucy Elizabeth 10.27.12
First, you'd have to tell a bunch of internet strangers your condition. Then, we'll just hire SBS to put you down, since she's closer geographically. HTH.

WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW ME TO READ THAT HENRY!?!!?!!?!?!
I need to go wash my eyeballs out with soap. And clean the projectile vomit off the wall behind my computer screen.
Amen, honey, amen!
This post makes me realize I have TTC ignorance too.
I'm going to need to buy the book for sure. Plus, this whole CM thing has me a little scared.
Sorry Walt. Hope you bleached thoroughly.
Haven't women been having babies on their own for millions of years without charts and CM measuring? I can understand doing this if you aren't having much luck after so many months, but more times than not I think girls who immediately start the science experiment right at the start have a need to plan and organize something now that the wedding's over. Flame away.

Nope, no flaming. I think you hit the nail on the head. I mean, I don't think everyone is in that boat, but I think there are some people who just aren't satisfied unless they have a project.
As far as the charting, I think as brides are getting older, there is more of a time element that is considered. Typically Drs won't start considering you for things like invitro until you have tried for 18 months, unsuccessfully. This would screw me up big time. We are waiting a year to try, but I'm already 32, so I know I won't want to screw around for a year and a half. Then again, when you are fertile, its typically for 3-4 days. So if you just plan to have sex every other day then you should be alright.
Having read the book, I guess I see it a little differently now and I think charting is useful for a lot besides just TTC. My cycles run longer than the standard 28 days and I know I don't ovulate on day 14 (most women don't actually). Add that to the fact that having sex every other day is just not realistic for us, I would prefer knowing where I am in my cycle and not create unnecessary stress. We're not TTC yet - this year even - but when the time comes I hope that it will make the whole process less daunting.
Agreed. Age is definitely a factor, and something I think I'll be running into should DH and I ever decide on kids. But the science experiment crew seems young enough that this isn't a factor.

Indeed.

Blech.
May I refer back to the FFF of a few weeks ago and SBS's amazing post?
Last I knew, the majority of women on the planet even TODAY get pregnant without taking their temperatures and checking the slime leaking from their vag's.
EWWW!! I am all for the old fashioned way of TTC (sans science experiments), unless you are getting up there in age have been trying forever...
No! I don't wanna be in charge!
Agreed. I'm sorry but wtf is wrong with the world today. That is absolutely disgusting.
