Just in case I go into labor tonight... I'm posting this before I go to bed! Hahahaha. We have a 9 am doctor's appointment, so I'll come back and answer the Qs afterward. :-)
UPDATED at 8:15 a.m. EST: Still no baby! Off to our doctor's appt...

(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?) Ameda Soothies (hyragel nipple pads) are still my friend (yes even after 5 weeks). Tell them at the hospital when you have the baby that your nips are sore and you heard hydragel pads work really well, they gave me one set and they are normally $16-20 a pair!!
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her? Skill or sport? I just want her to be active and eat well, I'd like for her to find a sport that she enjoys but I never played sports and still don't... DH played a few sports so maybe she'll be like him. I think they are good though to learn team work early on. As far as skill... does being a good person count in there somewhere? Oh I'd like to teach her to cook... maybe after I perfect my cooking abilities but it's a good skill to have! Eating out sucks
(4) Favorite maternity clothes? For those who are early on, any new outfits that you can't wait to wear? For those who are far along, what did you wear the most of and what was a waste? For those who have delivered, are you still wearing your maternity clothes? Given them away? Burned them? Moved on to nursing clothes? Do share. I gave up my maternity pants after 3 weeks and am now back in my pre-preg jeans although they fit totally different... I think my hips are still a little bigger, wonder if they ever go back! I haven't bought any nursing tops I don't like the way they look. I did invest in 2 good nursing bras and 2 sleep bras (essential if you are a night leaker like me) I'm still trying to find the MILF section at the stores
I wrote a whole blog about finding stuff to wear... it's tough for tops all my pre-preg ones are too short because my "girls" are outrageous!! They were cute little C's before, and now they are E's, all the clothes I find are juniors (yeah I'm almost 30 so that doesn't work) or women's which is mostly for things my dead gma wouldn't even have worn! Any advice?? I'm all ears!!
(5) What are you most looking forward to? MORE SLEEP!! Oh and Bella smiling, it should be soon. She smiles a lot in her sleep but not "real" smiles yet. SHe knows daddy and my voice and stops nursing when Ryan talks to her, which is really funny. It's like she's paying attention, too cute!
(1) How is everyone feeling? Any new symptoms? Any new baby movements? And don't forget to report on the status of your belly button: In or Out.
I think I'm starting to feel some flutters, but I can't really say for sure since this is my first. I feel a little bubbling. Belly button is still in because I have no bump yet.
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?)
Nothing new, except all the stuff on your list, Malia. It'll be super helpful for me, so thank you for sharing. I tried to comment on Pregosaur but I can't on my home computer for some reason.
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her?
DH and I are both semi-athletic and we definitely plan to put our kids in sports. We figure we'll make them do a bunch of different things and decide which they like best. Don't know that I have specific sports or skills in mind. She'll probably be good at math, though, since we both are! Haha.

I have no maternity clothes but I bought a BeBand at Target because my pants are getting tight and so far I love it. I can actually still button my jeans but the pressure on my abdomen is pretty uncomfortable when I sit down so the band helps with that.
(5) What are you most looking forward to?
Feeling definite movement! And our "babymoon".

Still no bump! But I'm totally okay with that. In fact, I love that people tell me I'm tiny or totally not showing. I'm not one who is longing to have a bump because I know it will come and I'll have it for long enough. Plus, I had an ultrasound and baby is growing perfectly on track, and I can feel my uterus so that's all good. I'm definitely thicker around the middle(I'm up about 5 lbs from my pre-pg weight) and my pooch is bigger but there's no way anyone would guess that I was pregnant. I just look like I've been pigging out a little too much. It'll probably be obvious in a few more weeks.
(1) How is everyone feeling? Any new symptoms? Any new baby movements? And don't forget to report on the status of your belly button: In or Out. Feeling sooooo much better this week. And I have felt "flutters" afterwards I convince myself that isn't what it was, but it definitely is. Appt. with our midwife this morning. Belly button is in.
I learned that MIL and SIL are throwing me a shower when we go visit them in a month (WHOA - early!! but it's the only time we will be there and they haven't always been overly excited about me, so this is really a nice gesture). Anyways, I hadn't planned to register, but I think I should since no one there really knows me or knows what we want/have... So my mom and I are going to work on that this weekend.
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?)
Nope, but I'm so happy with our stroller, REI put it together for us and now is in the closet - my grandparents ended up buying it for us b/c they were in Oregon (no sales tax). The crib also arrived and I finished the dresser for the nursery. I'm going to have nothing left to do in a couple of weeks....
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her?
I hope the baby gets MH's math skills!! I am a lot more coordinated, so that with MHs athletic ability would be a winning combination.

I love GAP maternity. I have spent way too much money there already, but I want to look good at work.
My friend use to work at a maternity place as a design intern. She got to keep a lot of the products and gave the nursing stuff to me (she wears the pg stuff!! haha). The stuff is soooooo soft, I can't to try them out.

the baby
(1) How is everyone feeling? Any new symptoms? Any new baby movements? And don't forget to report on the status of your belly button: In or Out.
Feeling good. I now get heartburn every night at 8:30 p.m. Right on the dot. It's bizarre that it's always at the same time no matter what I have or have not eaten. Guess this baby will have tons of hair?!
Belly button is still in but definitely more "shallow" than before.
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?)
Buying gently used baby items second hand saves TONS of money! I scored a barely used Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper and Graco Snap 'n' Go stroller frame for half of what they cost new. And I have all the clothes we'll need until next summer...again bought on consignment.
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her?
We'd like for our child to be musical and athletic and hope to expose her to various outlets for each so she can discover what she likes best.
We also plan to teach her the value of family and traditions.
And we hope that our children love nature and the outdoors.
And finally, as a budgetzilla myself, I want her to know the value of money and of not being too hooked into consumerism. For example, we plan to just do 3 gifts at Christmas (one major one and two smaller ones) and also will have a rule that when new things come in (toys, clothes, etc.) old things go out (donated to charity, etc.). I cannot stand it that young kids today have so many toys, etc. that they don't even play with them, let alone appreciate them.

Loving my roll top Old Navy jeans...I swear, these should be for non-pregnant gals too. SO comfy! I am also digging the fact that since I cannot suck my tummy in that I don't have to and can let it be out for the world to see...something I have NEVER done before! So today I am wearing an empire top that hugs my bump and it's fun.
(5) What are you most looking forward to?
The baby coming home...I cannot wait to discover what life is like as parents.

I'm feeling good
Getting some real sleep, now my boobs just have to adjust to the long stretches of sleep. Brooke slept for around 9-10 hours last night (finally!) and I woke up completely engorged and in pain... & leaking. Not fun, definitely not fun.
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?)
I love babysteals.com. Haven't bought anything yet, but I like to see what's on sale. Also love hautelook.com, sometimes they have some cute kids/baby stuff on sale.
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her?
Well, DH and I grew up playing soccer, so maybe that. & I know Vance would love it if Brooke got into golf, so he'd have a partner.

I wore my maternity tops for about 3 weeks after I gave birth... everything is just sitting in the closet. I'm finally back down to pre-pg weight, it feels like it took forever, but things don't fit quite the same.

Brooke rolling over and LAUGHING!! [real belly laughs, not the little chuckles we've been getting]

(1) How is everyone feeling? Any new symptoms? Any new baby movements? And don't forget to report on the status of your belly button: In or Out. Feel more tired, like I was in the first trimester. Heartburn started last week, but it's been in check this week. Baby has found my right lung and has decided it's a punch/kick-ing bag! BB still in, but DH says it looks like it's starting to come to the surface more...
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?) hm... nothing I can think of. I'm thinking I need to start that list of what to take to the hospital...
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her? flexibility to prevent injury; I want to teach him to swim early so he's not scared around water and will be ok if he falls in; and DH will certainly teach him everything about hockey, lol.
Do share. Got some new tops from Motherhood Maternity the other week - LOVE them. One in particular is just so darn comfy. If I can get the pic to post, you'll see it there. I borrowed a bunch from a friend in the beginning, so I had a limited wardrobe - mostly wore the jeans and suffered in my regular work pants until my mom bought me a couple pairs around 5 months. The PJ set she bought me has a nursing top (which I sometimes use to flash DH! LOL), so I will definitely be wearing that set for the next year!
(5) What are you most looking forward to? I have a shower coming up in a few weeks with my college friends! Can't wait to see them all!

feeling good but really tired after working now. no new symptoms, still don't have heartburn...but i am starting to feel the baby kick under my ribs (not fun). still have BH contractions, but not too many that I need to worry (thankfully). belly button is half in, half out....and half that is in is very shallow and i'm sure it's only a matter of time before I have a full outie
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?)
nothing really
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her?
I started swimming when I was really young and I think it was a great skill I'd like her to have too. I hope she'll get MH's math skills and my verbal skills

honestly, I don't have that many maternity items. I've got a nice black skirt that isn't even maternity but the waist folds over like on gauchos and it works great. I have a pair of maternity jeans. And I have a pair of Liz Lange gauchos w/the rollover waist. I have one maternity top but otherwise I have been pairing the bottoms with tops I already have in my wardrobe....I'm surprised how much my tops stretch but so far I haven't needed anything else.... it is fun to buy things that are specifically maternity, esp since this is my first PG, but I quickly realized I did not need much and returned a lot of things before I actually wore them. when I get super huge I may have to get some additional tops but so far, so good.

i live in big tops and leggings, or shorts/capris with the large panel ( from motherhood). i cannot wear any of those mat pants with just the low band, it totally presses against my bladder--as if i don't have to go all the time anyway!

1) How is everyone feeling? Any new symptoms? Any new baby movements? And don't forget to report on the status of your belly button: In or Out. Still Tired.. Jaylee had been sleeping for a good 6 hours during the night. But for some reason this week she decicded she wanted to get up every 2 hours to eat, then stay up at her 4am feedings cause she wanted to play. Can't complain though she's adorable
(2) Weekly wisdom: Did you learn anything this week that you'd like to share? (New must-have baby product? Item you must take to the hospital? New baby Web site or store?) So if you have the boppy/breast friend I would totallyh recommend taking it to the hospital. That way you get the practice using it before you get home. Oh yeah and if your like me ask the hospital for lots of disposable underwear.. I was bleeding alot so i went through those is a heart beat..
(3) Thinking of our LOs... What are the top 3 sports or skills that you hope your baby will learn or that you'd like to teach him/her? hubby and myself play in a coed softball league so I am sure James would love for her to do that. I want her to be a cheerleader (yes I was one for 10 years) I want her to always try at something and not give up because it's "too hard"
Do share. Ah well my"girls" have gotten soooo huge that I still have to wear some maternity tops, I do own 2 nursing tops and they help when I have to pump at work. Still not to my pre preggy wait. I thinkg it's cause I'm CONSTANTLY hungruy after I breast feed Jaylee. Still got about 8 more lbs to go, oh yeah and I've noticed that my hips are "wider" now so jeans don't really fit the same
(5) What are you most looking forward to? Jaylee talking!
