Kat's post with her super cute nursery pics got me thinking. Anyone have a fun place to recommend to buy baby bedding in the GTA (other than Babies R Us)
I like this set http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=3695984&kw=&origkw=&parentPage=search&f=PAD/Brand%20Name%20Secondary/Nojo but feel like there's something else funner out there.
Oh and also, can someone explain to me why all the sets at BRU seem to include a bumper pad, I thought those were "bad" b/c they have been found to contribute to SIDS.
Re: Baby bedding Q
You will find that almost all sets come with bumpers. Lots of people still use them. It's a judgement call.
Hey Shannon
I just came across this ebay seller on the second tri board. A couple people there bought from them and were very happy with the product and the price. (super cheap)

Just a thought....even though everywhere I read NOT to buy a bedding set, I still did it, and I really wish I hadn't. I wish I had just bought a cute sheet and a valance.
I bought a set that was *crazy* expensive with Pooh on it. It came with a blanket (which she can't use, so it is hanging on the wall), a bumper pad (which she can't use), a sheet, a valance and a bedskirt (which you can't see because of the type of crib we have). So, pretty much a huge waste of money.
BTW - I did use the bumper pad for a while, but only on 3 sides of the crib (not the front) so she had something to keep her little arms and legs inside, but still allowed the air to circulate. Kept the crib looking cute too. I took it out once she could stand so she wouldn't stand on it and launch herself out of the crib.
We didn't buy a set either. Just some sheets. It will be sooo long before Ben is able to use the comforter that comes with the sets that it isn't worth the $$ (and at point we would just use a soft blanket not a comforter).
I would think about what comes in a set and if you want/need all of the items. You can buy some stuff separatly too if you want some stuff and not others.
As for places there is a baby boutique in Burlington that is good, Baby Worlds in Stoney Creek.

........
I've seen the bumpers made into valances before.
If it were me, I'd go Jen's route and just get sheets. ?I know my mum would be more than happy to make a quilt when the babe is ready for a blanket...
also, SILs BFF works at funky monkey in London, I hear its a great shop!?
Good idea with the bumpers into valences thing.
My MIL started knitting us a quilt as soon as we told her about baby, so I guess I don't actually need a comfortor anyway (plus it's not like baby could use it for a while)
Thanks for all the links Jen! And the ebay one Amy (holy good prices!)
I will have a look into these places and see if I'm inspired by anything.
