We are all moved into our new place. We moved all weekend and Monday. Monday morning/afternoon my amazing husband (I have to be an AW for a minute) went over and cleaned the whole place top to bottom. By the time I got home from school all we had to do was vacuum the living room and I wiped down the kitchen counter tops. We would have been there all night if he hadn't done that.
DH has a new job!! I am so happy for him because this means a very substantial raise, and wait for it.....health insurance!!!!!! We have been without it for a year and I am jumping up and down I am so excited. And vision and dental! DH is excited because he will no longer be working from home and he will have an office with a regular 9-5 day. I am so happy for him.
My job on the other hand hasn't gone as smoothly as I thought it was going too. I am not in the room I was hired for and the woman I work with is very sweet but at the same time I can't stand her. She talks to me like I have never worked with children in my entire life. She is scatterbrained and a bit disorganized and I am the total opposite. I need routine and structure (as do the kids) and not having it is really making me anxious.
My boss hasn't been very understanding of my school schedule either and it is frustrating and a bit baffling because she knew I was in school when she hired me. I'm starting to keep my eyes open for something else and we'll see what happens. In the meantime school is my first priority and they will have to be understanding of that or fire me
I'm just thankful I have a job and a paycheck.
School has been good, I've been keeping on top of all my work but I am panicking about the 50 hours of field experience I have to complete this semester
I just got a bunch of stuff crossed off my to-do list so while I wait for DH to bring home dinner I am playing on the nest and my other favorite website: craigslist
I've caught up on as many posts as I can and I'm glad to see everyone is doing well.
Re: Taking a break to nest :) (warning this is long!)
Sounds like you've been busy!
Congrats to your DH for getting a great new gig.
I'm sorry to hear your job is not all it look like it would be.
Don't worry too much about the 50 hours of field experience. They go by fast. I know your focus is with the little ones, but I know some of my classes, we had to do observations and fieldwork in higher grades. If that's the case, and you get it a squeeze, my teacher-signature is only a few minutes away when you're down in my neck of the wood
Yay congrats on moving AND DH's new job!! Go him! I'm so jealous that you now have health insurance, I need that so badly! And I need dental and vision too. Hey, do ya'll want to adopt me??
The work stuff will work out, and if it doesn't then lucky that your DH got a raise, that'll take some of the stress of it off of you!
1.) So do you love your new place or what? I am sure the Beast must be loving all that room he has now.
2.) Congrats to Mr.Belle! I am sure he is thrilled to be advancing his career and I can't wait to hear all about it. And I know it must be such a relief to have health insurance.
3.) I'm so sorry your job isn't what you thought it was going to be. I hate that they are treating you like that when you were upfront with them from the beginning. That is probably my number one pet peeve about employers in general. I really hope it gets better and you find something else quickly!
4.) I know nothing about your program but anytime you want a study buddy, you know how to find me.
Did I get it all? I miss you but am glad to see you guys are doing well. Love you!
Glad to hear that you guys are settled into the new place and that is fantastic about Mr.Belle's new job! I'm sorry things aren't so great with your job. I hope things get better for you there! If not just try to remember that it's a temporary situation and soon you will be done with school and have the job you really want!
Geez, you have been busy! Glad to hear you are getting all settled into your new place. Moving stinks, doesn't it?
Congrats to your DH!
So sorry that your job isn't turning out to be what you thought it would be. I hope things get better. Glad school is going great for you!
