sorry, I posted that quickly before running into a meeting.
One of my tires has had a slow leak in it. I (stupidly) haven't really done anything to look into what was causing it, I just kept putting more air in the tire whenever my tire pressure light came on. This morning I was running late and jumped in my car to drive the 2-3 blocks to the bus stop (
I was late) and when I got around the block I could hear it. I was already late and had a meeting this morning so I just parked it and figured I'd deal with it later.
I've never actually changed a tire but I know what to do. Every time I've been put in the situation somebody comes to my rescue and does it MUCH faster than I could.
My wonderful husband is now changing my tire since I need to run to volleyball as soon as I get off the bus tonight. Again, I'm 99.9% sure I could do a good job but if the hubby will do it then I'll let him.
That stinks about your tire, Nova. DH had a blowout coming home from work a few weeks ago and had to change the tire. I wanted to put down that I know how to do it and could if I had to, but I am kind of in the category where I am not sure if I could physically pull it off by myself. I do have AAA for these sorts of situations so I would probably end up calling them. I rarely ever drive anymore (and most of the times that I am DH is with me) so it wouldn't be likely that I would need to even do this by myself.
P.S. I have been told by a state trooper that the Fix-a-Flat spray stuff is really great and recommends, especially women, to have that in their cars.
yeah, I've been saying for a week that I was going to buy a can of fix-a-flat but never made it to the store. looks like I paid the price.
the whole thing worked out even better than I expected: DH took off the tire and put on the donut, then my FIL came by, picked up tire, took it to get fixed, brought it back, and the two of them put it back on my car. My FIL is the best!! so I had my tire back on before I got home from work
