1. Totally want to pick up something in velvet-have my eye on a diane von furstenberg velvet wrap dress-also may go for a leather skirt, and something with some ruffles or flounces
2. LEGGINGS!!! wtf this is a riduculous look especially the ones with sequins and such all over. am also not digging the return of the 80s cocktail dresses
3. Am debating whether or not to buy over the knee boots-think that they are really cool but not sure how much i will wear-however may just go for a pair of to the knee platform stacked heel boots
4. I will often wear darker lipgloss/lipstick in the fall winter and sometimes will use heavier eye makeup at night during the holidays
5. The surf can definitely get better in the fall/winter but the down side is the cold water. I get really down with the shorter days-definitely a summer person. On the up side I do love making yummy risottos with truffle oil and butternut squash.
6. Sadly no more trips for us this year just staycations. Next year will be better

2. I cannot stand this current trend of tapered pants. Hello, people.....remember the 80s? This is a bad look! Nothing like a look that makes your hips and butt look bigger!
3. I really want a pair of the Tom's wrap boots. They look so comfy for me for school, since I'm on my feet all day.
4. Ha....I WEAR makeup in the fall! I rarely wear makeup in the summer.
5. Favorite things....a fire in the fireplace, apple picking, then getting ready for Christmas. Least favorite....raking/shoveling the driveway.
6. We have an AHR at Tavern on the Green in New York City (where MH was born) in October. I've never been to New York when there wasn't snow on the ground, so I'm excited to see Central Park in the fall.

A kicky pencil skirt. I've actually been bad a bought fall clothes already (big into gray this season, for some reason): shoes, trench coat, sweaters. Must. Stop. Shopping.

What's with all the 80s and lumberjack plaid? Next thing I know a revival Nirvana band. *sigh*
3. Shoe/Boot Trend?
I bought gray suede ankle booties last year - looks like they're in again this year (hurrah!). I also got flat calf boots last year, too. So probably no new boots this year. I did get gray ballet flats at DSW.

My makeup for work will probably get a little darker, but I won't be changing much. However, I love nail polish and I am hunting for gray matte polish that doesn't cost $10. (Man, I am REALLY into gray this year).
5. Favorite/least favorite thing about fall winter
Possibly hearing MH complain about the fall/winter shorter days all seasons long. I love love love fall/winter, so really no issues. I love the changing fall colors, the way the air smells, crispness, cozy sweaters, even the rain (which we are so notoriously famous for).

Sadly, we haven't had any big trips all year - just little staycations or going to OR to visit my family. Maybe in a couple more years....we both would love to be able to go back to HI.

There is no one item that I'm watching. I love the new necklines (don't know what to call it other than cowlneck... but, it's more modern than your mama's cowlneck). Pencil skirts and sheath dresses are great - thank you First Lady for bringing those into focus.

Favorite - I love when the nights are clear and crisp. I love when the leaves change color... unfortunately, they always seem to change right when we are leaving for HI in October. I like big, snuggly sweaters. Snow in winter is always amazing.
Least favorite - I hate that days are shorter and drearier in Seattle. Blah.

October - I'll fly to New Orleans to be a photographer for Voodoo Fest and celebrate Halloween with old friends.
November - Going to Hawaii (have always gone in October, so not sure what to expect)
December - Going back to New Orleans for Christmas. My brother and his family will be visiting from New Zealand.

haven't seen those over the knee boots you're referring to...still have the knee high ones from previous years but wont' be wearing them while PG with my center of gravity all off

cold weather. i am ok with cooler temps but i hate the cold....and I am a wuss when it comes to cold.... in the 60s is cold to me...ha

1. Any must have fall fashion items that you have your eye on? A favorite skirt? The animal print trend? Leather? Not really. I'm both losing weight and knocked up, so buying clothes right now would just be an exercise in frustration over the next few months lol.
2. Least favorite fall trend of the season? Pretty much every style of pants that is in right now. The resurgence of acid washed jeans, the ripped jeans, the tapered legs (hello, saddlebags!), leggings (not that those are really pants as such), etc. It took me most of a day to find one pair of jeans the last time I went shopping. Awful. Just awful.
3. Shoe/Boot Trend? I work on my feet all day, so unfortunately the answer is: anything flat soled with good arch support. Boring, I know.
4. Do you change up your make-up in the fall? Switch lipsticks? Foundation? etc... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*gasp*HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That would be a no, sorry. I'm the least adventurous person in the world when it comes to makeup. I've also noticed that Aussie women wear a LOT less makeup than American women (at least those in SoCal), and over the years I've started wearing less too. My daily routine is a moisturizer with SPF, mascara, a bit of blush, concealer here and there, tinted lip gloss and some loose powder. That's it.
5. Favorite/least favorite thing about fall winter It's actually spring here right now.
So I'm going to say allergies, especially since I can't take my usual awesome allergy meds since I'm knocked up.
6. Any fun trips planned. Nope. We're wanting to buy a house, so pretty much all of our money is tied up in that right now.

Oy, I'm so disconnected from fashion. All I have is maternity and my regular close. Right now I'm inbetween both and can't bring myself to go shopping.

I don't, but my makeup is very basic, lip gloss, concealer for my eyes, mascara and maybe a faint shimmery eye shadow.

Turning on the heat in the house. I like having open window and fresh air all year round.

Yep, NJ in Oct for my sisters shower, HI for Thanksgiving and back to NJ for Chirstmas to meet my new niece! FUN!

I have no idea. Now that I am KU I am going with if it fits and is somewhat flattering, I'll wear it. LOL!
I do have my eye on a plaid swing coat that I think will cover my bump nicely this winter.

Same as above, but add in comfort. I have several pairs of cute, high-heeled boots and booties, but they'll be on hiatus until NEXT year. Right now all footwear is 1" or under.

I tend to go with deeper toned lipsticks and nail polish. And I'll switch to a foundation that is one shade lighter since my "summer" one tends to be too dark by late October.

The warm days and crisp, cool nights in early fall. The smell that comes with the cooler weather. Leaves changing colors and falling from the trees. Cashmere sweaters and scarves, jeans or wool slacks and in general, cozy layers. Yummy comfort food like chili and stew...Alix! I want your truffled butternut squash risotto recipe...sounds delish!
I will be sad when we need to turn the heater on and also when we have longer nights and shorter days.
This winter means our baby will almost be here...so we're super excited!

I am off to Great Britain next week for work and then to Nashville for 10 days in October. Not "pleasure" trips, but I have fun wherever I go. I'd like J and I to get away to a B&B in Eureka Springs, AR for our anniversary...we shall see about that! Then, no more travels until well after the baby arrives.
