I think I've officially become emotionally detached from the home. My agent just called me asking me questions that the sellers agent wanted to know. It doesn't sound like we are going to get very far in negotiating with the sellers and I may start my house search again.
Surprisingly enough I am not all that distraught about it. I think I have mentally prepared myself enough that I emotionally detached from the home and figure whatever happens, happens.
I am moving out to an amazing state/city and have a great job waiting for me. That big beautiful house was just icing on the cake. I am sure there are other great homes out there just waiting for me to find them. As much as I do LOVE that home, it may not be the one I am supposed to buy.
Frankly I am very proud of myself. haha. I hope everyone else is doing well!
Re: I think I've officially become emotionally detached....
I think you have the perfect attitude. I KNOw there are several perfect houses out here for you. And you will find one of them and everything will be fine.
I can't believe you'll be out here that soon!
I know everything will be fine. I'm looking at other homes all over again. I really DO love the house, but it just wasn't meant to be.
I can't believe I will be out there so soon too!!! I am so excited! We are coming out to visit again in a week and a half! Will probably tour more homes and even look at a couple of apartments too, just to be safe.
Maybe the sellers will have a change of heart and I will get a great phone call from my agent! I told her that I wouldn't be calling her all weekend and that I wanted her to enjoy a weekend with out me asking "have you heard anything?" haha!
I think you have a great attitude about it- I know how hard it is when you find a house you like so much, but PP's are right- there are more out there!
I will be in ABQ in a week and a half too- I was formally offered the job yesterday and they want me to start Oct 1st- so I need to get my butt out there and find a place. I'm renting though, since I own a house here in Phoenix still, so I hope i can find something that takes a 70 pound dog! Eek!
Keep us posted about the house news. Or anything else that you learn about ABQ that might be useful to other "newbies"
