I don't know how many of you have seen the IHC commercial about the world coming to an end but man did it ever make me feel like an idiot. ?It took me a few minutes on the website to figure out that it was just advertising for the movie 2012 and then it ticked me off.?
For those of you who haven't seen it yet, ?basically what happens is it looks like a government funded commercial saying that there is going to be a solar event on December 21 2012 and that the world is going to come to an end. ?The IHC (Institute for human continuity) has found a way to make humanity survive and that they have even come up with a lottery to ensure the survival of the human race. ?You are to visit the www.theIHC.com to register for the lottery now. ??then it ends with "The IHC, ensuring that the end is just the?beginning"
The only thing in the commercial to suggest that it is a movie trailer is at the very end of the commercial in teeny tiny print it says "copyright of columbia pictures" ?and unless you are looking for it you don't see it. ?Freaked the crap out of me. I went to the website, looked at a bunch of stuff and then?recognized?one of the scientists as a Sci FI actor who has been in a bunch of things and went, jeebus that was freaky. ??
Apparently if you actually fill out the lottery form etc, Sony and Columbia pictures put you on a mailing list and if you win the lottery you get a trip to the?Mayan?Rivera. ?
Re: Scariest commercial EVER!
