Mine came in a few days ago from the dress preservation company. ?It's just sitting in the hallway taking up space and I keep tripping over it. ?I want to keep it, but I don't have anywhere really to store it. ?I'm thinking its gonna have to go in the kitchen pantry. ?Oh, what a fall from glory my dress has taken.
So, 2-3 months post wedding, where is your dress??

Hanging in my closet but it faces the door so when I open my closet door...there it is! I want to have a wedding dress party or something like that for halloween.
Confession- I've put it on a few times..
Got it back from the drycleaners/preservation and its in this huge box, still sitting on the bed in the guest room because we haven't found closet space for it yet. Luckily no one comes to visit often.

In the trunk of my car. I put it there earlier this week with the intention of finding a place to get it cleaned, but I never did. I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. It was a free dress, and I'll have absolutely no use for it ever again, so what would I be preserving it for?
Someone please tell me what to do with it. I really don't want to spend the money to preserve it.
This.
I don't plan on preserving mine, just cleaning it. You could always donate it though...
chrissy, you should donate it! If I decide not to keep mine, I was going to look into this:

Sounds like you just mail them your gown.
As of right now, my dress is at my parents' house, not cleaned, in a box.
Stuffed in the bag it came in in our storage room. Not cleaned. Not preserved.
I really would kinda like to donate it, since I won't use it again, but, at the same time, I kinda wanna put it on for all of our anniversaries. We'll see....

My dress is at my mom in NY she should be sending it to me when she finds a box.
Cleaned and boxed in one of our spare bedrooms. I need to find a smaller box for it though, it won't fit in the chest we have for wedding stuff.
I had it cleaned pretty quick to get rid of the mimosa stain courtesy of gramma and a few other stains I knew it had. Figured if I spent that much money on the dress, I may as well take care of it.
