RedZee IN

Hey everyone! I'm baa-aaack!

Our Israel honeymoon was AMAZING. We had such a great time. It was fun to be on a real vacation and to get to do so many cool things together.

One of our funniest stories: C had something on his skin that he was trying to get rid of. We went into the Dead Sea and I told him the salt would help it. It did a tiny bit. Then our tour guide in Jerusalem said that if you take an unripe fig and squeeze the nectar onto your skin, it heals whatever you had. So I put it on C. The teeny tiny little thing became a huge, nasty, puss-filled thing. We went to the pharmacy to get something and everyone there (including customers) told us to get to a dr. So we went to the ER. (It only took half an hour in the ER! It would have taken a day and a half in Montreal.) The whole walk to the hospital I kept teasing C that he was copying me and stealing my thunder because I went to the ER on our minimoon.

C meeting my family was awesome. He was a bit overwhelmed at times, but it was good overall. One of my aunts called us every time we got to a hotel to check in on us. It was weird and annoying.

Scuba diving in the Red Sea was one of the best things I've ever done. My guide was also super cool.

We got to see different types of farms, we hiked, we hung out at the pool, it was just awesome.

How are all of you? Has the green dust works? Who has a green couch? What the H does BU mean? Blog Update? Bringing Up? What is supposed to be in our sigs right now?

  • Welcome back, Zee. I feel like you've been gone a month.

I gave away a green couch, so I have the anti green dust. And my house dust is faulty too.

  • zeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so happy you're back! It sounds like it was an awesome time :) And now I'm supah curious as to what they figured out the nasty lump on your h's arm was haha

And I miss that green couch... I'm heading to Ikea this weekend, maybe I can entice the H to buy it for me lol

I'm friends with everybody in this office. We're all best friends - I love everybody here. But sometimes your best friends start coming into work late, and start having dentist appointments that aren't dentist appointments. And that's when it is nice to let them know that you can beat them up.
  • Welcome back! Your trip sounds amazing!

I have been to Israel twice and both times were so memorable and full of unique experiences.

  • YAY! Zee is back!!!

  • Aw - your love is making me all gushy and smiley! Thanks! And it's helping me sort through the 200 e-mails I have in my PhD account. Ack!

C only had an infection. Some antibiotic ointment was all it took. Although, I left out that after I gave him the fig, I tried to counteract it with tea tree oil.

And I just found out that my really good friend is moving back to Montreal which means I'll (a) have a place to stay when I'm up there and (b) get to see him more often. AND my supervisor can cover tuition for one semester so at least I won't feel as much like a leach on my husband. Yay!
