It was so hard coming back after my 3 day weekend. How did everyone eles's weekend go?
Friday night-my sister came over, than my parents came and took us all to dinner. Afterward they took the kids for the night and I got to be all by myself for the first time in 7mths. I just sat there in silence for about 45min, than took a nice long shower.
Sat-was some furniture shopping,no luck. Than cleaning, until I got a really bad headache. Once that went away DH and I went to dinner at BJ's.
Sun-We went to my parents house for my mom's bday, just hung out and relaxed.
Mon-I took the kids to do errands and shopping, while DH stayed home and cleaned. Than it was a great night of cleaning and playing and spending time with my family.
Minus a little IL trouble it was a prety great weekend.
Re: Good Morning! (Tues)
Morning. It was a great, very busy weekend for us.
Sat - trip to Super WalMart. Thpough I'm not the biggest WalMart fan, I got some great stuff on clearance. Kristy - that little water mat thingy was only $3! We got alot done around the house, it's looking better already. Hopefully we can paint soon.
Sunday we had family over to BBq and swim. Yesterday we just laid low and tried to relax. I got my eyebrows done (yay!) and went to check out the Habitat for Humanity store but it was closed.
Last night was a bit rough, I think L has a cold. He and daddy are home today.
Really Becki? I love it. I may have to try and get one. Even though it's the end of summer she could get $3 worth of fun out of that real quick.
Thursday night drove up to Weed, CA, lol. Slept a few hours then drove the rest of the way up to Beaverton Oregon on Friday morning.
Friday: Hung out with Charles' grandparents, and stayed over Friday night.
Saturday: More hanging out with grandparents, had dinner then left to head back down to So Cal. Stopped in Grants Pass for the night.
Sunday.Drove through the Redwoods then made a stop in San Francisco for the night (drove over the Golden Gate Bridge!
).
Monday: Drove the coast to get back home around 9-ish.
Today- I'm dead. lol. 2365 miles in 4 days was WAY too much. I NEED my chiropractor- I'm hoping they have availability today.
Morning!
Saturday- Went to Glen Ivy for facials with my mom, sister and niece followed by lunch.
Sunday- Met a friend at Victoria Gardens for coffee and to let her daughter play in the little playground.
Monday- Tried to go clothes shopping. Big fail. Then dinner with the fam.
Today I have a busy day. Doing laundry now then heading to Seal Beach to meet a friend for her hair trial. Then coming back up to Pomona to have dinner with MIL.
Nothing much this weekend. Just working and working on the house.
Today I have my HSG to make sure my tubes are clear. G is getting the afternoon off to go with me.
Wish me luck.
GL Amy!
My weekend was great! I posted a blog entry about it yesterday so you can check out how suzy homemaker I was over the wkend for yourself
Last night we were at the ILs and I guess I sat too long bc the minute we got home my knee was killing me. I'm so frustrated bc I havent had pain in awhile and I was starting to think I was over this...guess not =/
WOW you did a lot of cooking! I love to cook- but that was insane, how did you have the energy, lol!
Knee pain sucks- so sorry! I've had 4 knee surgeries on my left knee, and sometimes it seems like the pain will never end- then, suddenly its gone for months or years at a time- but still sucks nonetheless
GL Amy!!
Friday we took the kids out to dinner and then came home and watched a movie.
Saturday I went to my grandma's while DH and the kids stayed home and mowed the lawns. Then we all went to target came home DH BBQ'd and then we watched tv.
Sunday we were supposed to go to my nephew's birthday party but ended up having to take my oldest step-son to the ER. He was having some major stomach pains around his belly button. He has had the issue before and they thought it was a hernia but it wasn't. No one can explain what it is. We got there around 11:30 and left at about 5.
Monday we got up and played some games on the Wii with the kids, then their mom picked them up around noon. DH and I went to the store and then bbq'd carne asada and had tacos for dinner. I also did about 20 loads of laundry, I had been slacking off for awhile.
Hope everyone has a great week.
Happy Tuesday!
We had a nice weekend. Friday we didn't do anything but hang out at home, go to the park after dinner then off to Chick-Fil-A for ice cream.
Saturday we went to Disneyland and got their right when they opened. The Mickey 5K had just finished so it was pretty crowded. The runners must have been too tired to go on the rides because we walked on to each one except the carousel. Sarah HATED the rides this time...she didn't even like It's a Small World! She loved them all last month! We'll have to see how she does next month...We left D-Land at about 1pm and hung out at home the rest of the day. On Sunday we went to a friend's son's 2nd birthday party. It was nice but they had an above-ground pool in the backyard that didn't have a fence around it. Naturally Sarah ran right to it and was able to climb up the side of it! Luckily we caught her in time, before she fell in! Needless to say, she thought this was a fun game to play (even though we kept yelling NO!) so she kept doing it. We finally spent the rest of the birthday party indoors...Monday, we just spent the day hanging out around the house. Nothing too exciting.
Sarah did say 2 new words! Please (well...Peas) and Sorry (sowwy).
Good luck today, Amy! Take a couple of motrin or tylenol before going though!
Not really sure what came over me but I couldnt get enough although I did end up napping on Sat & yesterday
I'm sorry to hear you still have pain and wow 4 surgeries! Surgery is ultimately what I was/am hoping to avoid and I was starting to think I got luck since PT was helping but yesterday totally deflated me
Don't give up hope... I had a crappy injury that caused mine- sports related- and I avoided surgery for about a year but it got to the point where I could not function without crutches 24/7- so I gave in. The knee is actually much better since my 4th surgery- I still have bad days, but overall it isn't too bad.... just keep up with the PT and try not to do anything that would exascerbate the pain before you build up the strength and you should be fine
Good late afternoon to you all.
I had an extra long weekend because I took Friday off.
Leslie and I spend the majority of it at Ikea window shopping. That place is so awesome. For dinner we met my parents at The Melting Pot for dinner. Soooo yummy. I highly recomend it for anyone wanting to go out for a nice dinner. Its really a lot of fun and so good. Plan on it taking about 2 1/2 - 3 hours though.
Saturday we gave the house some much needed cleaning and fixing up and I got a pedi with my mom.
Sunday we went to MILs house to help her fix some stuff then we just came home and relaxed.
Monday we went and looked at a million more houses, then came home and relaxed. pretty low key weekend, but it was much needed.
