Feel free to share your own thing you wish to whine about this fine Tuesday.
For me, it's that I have cramps that could kill (or, at least, severly disable) a large horse. And I have too much work to do, which means I'm going to be stuck at a computer and/or a desk and/or in the library until late into the evening as opposed to laying in bed with a heating pad on my tummy sipping tea, which is where I WANT to be.
Whining over. Your turn.
Re: Whine...
Boo, SBS. Feel better!
My whine is more of a rant. I hate ignorance. Yeah, not exactly groundbreaking, right? But lately I've had to supress so many urges to virtually slap people because of the downright stupidity they splash all over the effing Internet. From hellacious grammar and spelling to the TMI of my BFF's sister who updates in nasty detail about her TTC to the a-holes who post on FB discussions that Obama's speech today will BRAINWASH their children, I'm pretty much about to shut off my computer and call it a day. I cannot take much more.

I hate working here and I just got my hours cut even more. Hopefully next week I will have an interview at the bank. I am lucky and grateful to have a job. Maybe if I Nested less it would make a difference. But probably not.

I hate my job (shock). I'm supposed to be having an interview at a new company which would pay for me to take my Series 7's and the rest of the tests I need to become certified in dealing Mutual Funds, BUT the hiring manager is on maternity leave now (had her kid on Thursday 2 or 3 weeks early) and doesn't have a come back date. Her baby is fine, but that leaves me in limbo, not knowing if I should attempt to have other interviews (I really want to work at that business) or not.
Also, I found out this weekend that if you're on the car registration with your mom in the state of NC (given that I didn't have proof of living there), you can't register your car in the state of MA without her once officially in MA and married. Also, I found out that you can't refinance a car with GMAC to have someone taken off. Also, I had to essentially sell my car to my husband to get my mother off all of my paperwork for my car. A car she has never paid for. A car that she has never driven. A car that she CAN'T drive, given that she can't drive a stick. Thank you, RED TAPE, for effing with my weekend.
Yeah, I'm ready to punch a person or twenty over this as well. I love how when we forced to listen to Regan and Bush Sr. when WE were in elementary school, it was "civic duty" and "being informed", but now that it's Obama it's "brainwashing". I think Republicans are just whinier when they don't get their way/disagree. There are school districts around here that have "forbid" teachers to turn it on because of parent complaints. Um, hello, where was that kind of "protection" in the late 80s???
Totes agree, SBS. Even if it WAS in any way political, WTF-ever. It's called being an informed member of society. My god, really - we need permissions slips for the President to tell kids to not be losers and give a shiit about their education? Unbelievable.

What gets me is that people were actually planning on keeping their kids home from school today. So instead of listening or sitting out of a 18-20 minute speech, they would rather have them miss an entire day of school?
Not so much a whine but I'm in a weird/sad mood. My 8 year old cousin has lived with my parents for the past 3.5 years. The court awarded my parents custody and his parents were allowed supervised 2 hour visits every weekend. A few months ago his parents came into an insurance settlement and decided to get a lawyer to seek overnight weekend visits. My parents and my cousins parents do not get along and in general, my aunt and her BF have no business parenting anyone. My parents decided that if his parents were stable enough for overnight visits then they should take back the responsibility for raising their child, not just to party/play with him on the weekends. Sharing custody with them was simply not an option. They all went to court this morning and the judge ruled to give custody back to my aunt and her BF.
I won't lie, the past 3.5 years have been so very hard on my parents and their marriage. This whole situation has been pretty crappy for all involved. I'm relieved for them that the ordeal is over. I'm just sad at the thought of my cousin going back to his crappy mom and dad. I might never see the kid again to be honest and it kinda breaks my heart.
