SERIOUSLY Blount?!

Think Oregon will keep him on the team after this?

Btw, shoutout to the hot Oregon coach holding him back. That's Scott Frost, former Husker. ;)

Re: SERIOUSLY Blount?!

  • I read about that this morning...nice.  Huh?

  • Sigh. I am seriously embarrassed by my alma mater, and this is a great example of why I've never been able to be a Duck fan.?

If I'm not mistaken, Belotti already suspended Blount in the spring for behavioral issues and Kelly brought him back. The initial punch was absolutely uncalled for, but in my opinion, warranted maybe a 3 game suspension. However, it was the behavior afterwards that makes me support his suspension for the season. Dancing around, hitting your teammates FFS, and going after fans. Wayyyy over the line.?

Naturally its all anybody here is talking about, and thankfully, most of the people I've heard seem to support a full season suspension, shockingly. (We've never been a fan of shooting ourselves in the foot even if its the right thing to do.) I think NCAA and Pac-10 officials will ensure this is handled correctly.

  • Saw it on Sports Center this morning. How crazy.

  • It's just such a shame to see someone with that much talent be such a complete liability to his team (and himself for that matter!).  I hope he gets the help that he so clearly needs!  And yes, the punch itself, whatever, but the aftermath was downright embarassing!

  • No freakin' way. What a way to start the season.

I can't believe he had the nerve to punch that guy out, THEN try to jump his teammates and people in the crowd! I hope they toss him off the team. His temper is too dangerous to deal with...especially when he puts his own teammates in the way of his anger.

  • He should be kicked off the team, lose his scholarship and be brought up on assault charges.  There was no excuse for what he did.
  • He will remain with the team, but is suspended for the season.

(sorry I can't make it clicky)?

  • I read about it today when I got home from work.  Absolutely insane..what a way to start out the season.  I feel bad for the Ducks fans that are going to be hearing about this for a while.
  • A senior, a starter, and a dumba$$ that won't be playing the rest of the season.

Remember last year when their mascot got in a fight with another mascot, was suspended for a few games, and then publicly apologized on TV?  It was actually quite funny!

  • I wonder what that other player said to him. It had to be something pretty good for that kind of reaction!

That guy should be punished too. You can't taunt somebody like that, and hit them on the shoulder and not expect a reaction. He started it, and that should be addressed IMO
