Must See's/Do's

Hello - I am a Colorado nestie, traveling with DH and BIL and SIL to Brooklyn to visit my little sister at LIU in October.  None of us have ever been to NY and would love some recommendations on what to see and do.  We will probably be staying close to campus as little sister has games on Saturday (at 1 and 5) and Sunday (at 2).  We will be flying in late Friday and leaving Sunday evening.  TIA for recommendations, we can't wait to come visit!

Re: Must See's/Do's

  • Hi and welcome. I have been living in NYC and haven't gotten much crossed off my to-do list. A fellow NYC nestie (Liza) supplied this website which has an impressive list of to-dos. Hope it helps!

  • There are a ton of really great restaurants in Brooklyn - definitely check out yelp.com and search within brooklyn and the area around LIU (Fort Greene & Downtown Brooklyn) you can also easily get to a variety of neighborhoods in brooklyn that offer amazing restaurants and places to see/do.(Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, BAM, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens)

There are also lots of subway stops very close to the campus so you can easily (within 10-15min) be in manhattan.
