What happened to Coldstone Creamery in York?

DH and I wanted to go there last night so we drove over and it looked like they are gone from that location.  What happened? When did they leave? They weren't there that long.  I think the closest one now is Hanover.  So disappointed!

Re: What happened to Coldstone Creamery in York?

  • They are definitely closed. I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but it's probably been over a month. DH and I were there earlier in the summer and we noticed that they had really limited the number of toppings and ice cream flavors available. My ILs live in Jersey and the one near them closed down in the spring.?

I'm not sure where you are located, but my friend told me that the one at the Park City Mall is still open!?

  • I was dissapointed when I saw that... we did not go often but I enjoyed it when we did go.  And Maggie Moos is closed too!

Maggie Moo's is closed, too?  Is it the one on Market St. or the one in South York?  After we saw Cold Stone was closed we headed over to Maggie Moo's on Market St. and it was closed, but it looked like it was just closed for the night.  There was a guy collecting trash in there and the lights were still on.

I guess with the way the economy is nothing should surprise us now!  :(

  • I think the only Maggie Moo's is in Lancaster now (at least for this area).  They closed the one in Harrisburg at The Shoppes at Susquehanna Marketplace but I'm not sure when.
  • As far as Lancaster goes, the Coldstone at Park City is still open. The one in the strip mall by the real-live-working Target on Lincoln Highway is indeed closed. As far as I know the Maggie Moo's is still open by Alfred Angelo.

I blame the economy! First Quiznos, now ice cream places. I think the Fractured Prune in Etown is closed. What's next? Not Ritas!!!

The Maggie Moo's on Market Street is now Scoop's Deli. I had a pamphlet and coupon attached to my dry cleaning from Zip's last week.  They have sandwiches and ice cream.  The one in South York has been closed for quite some time.  It was something else and I think that went out of business too.

  • At least Handels is still open.  We have friends that want to go every time they come to visit.
