hey, how are you? i was wondering if you could tell me the color of SW paint you used on your downstairs bathroom vanity. also, did you use the proclassic paint? thanks!
Re: jjenkins
Hey Allie! The powder room vanity paint was just a small quart of a gloss black from some off brand that I picked at a hardware store...not much help I know.
If I was doing it over though I would definitely go with the SW Proclassic paint because I have been extremely happy with that product. In fact after we get our master bath reno project done I'm planning to use some of the leftover Medici Ivory from the kitchen to paint the vanity and mirror frame in our guest bath (I can't do it now because we're using that bathroom).
I didn't do poly on either of those. I thought about it for the powder room but decided to see how it held up since it was such a gloss finish in just the paint. For the kitchen cabinets I actually asked the SW guy if I needed to put a poly coat on and he said no. The Proclassic is designed like an enamel paint so it's made to be highly durable.
HTH!!
thanks for all the info jen. i went to sherwin yesterday and they told me that they don't do proclassic in glossy black (or any other darker, glossy paint color). he pointed me in the direction of a glossy black all surface paint. i plan to paint part of the vanity tonite so i will let you know how it turns out!
i am sure i will be contacting you again soon, lol!
