Would you ever email your boss at 2am and say you might be out sick the following day? Either I'm too pregnant to be sympathetic or I have an idiot working for me. I have an employee who works from home in CA. For whatever reason I guess he feels this gives him the right to say he might take a sick day the following day and will see how he feels whenever he decides to make his way out of bed. I'm sorry but if you can't be here (or working from home in his case) by the time we're open for business then you're either late or you're using a sick day.
I'm so frustrated today. I had planned on working from home but logged in early to find out this jerk pulled this stunt so I had to make sure I was in the office to cover the work for him. You'd think a written formal warning in his file and a meeting with HR and myself would have been enough for this guy to get a clue.
Sorry I just needed to vent this morning . . 14 days
Re: Sick of Employees
i am sick of all the ass kissing employees we have here since all this change has happened...give me a break!!
I'm sorry you're still lhaving to deal with this jerk, Jen. Like you said, you would think a formal warning and the meeting w/ you and HR would have kicked his ass into gear ...not to mention the current state of the economy does not lend itself to just finding a new job "just like that" if he was to, let's just say, lose his job! Duh, dude!
I think it's time for him to be voted off the island.
