Pre-theater dinner recommendations
Any recommendations for a place to eat a week from Saturday before we see In the Heights? The two places that were recommended to us (Le Bernardin and Thalia) don't have reservations available.
I know it's hard in and around the Theater District, but we're looking for something not-touristy and preferably non-traditional (no steak and potato type places). Money is not a limiting factor, but we also don't need to spend money just to spend money. And we'd like at least a few people in the restaurant when we're eating our early-bird dinner so that we don't feel totally alone.
Thanks for your suggestions.

I heart this place! It's super yummy and a little on the pricey side. The bar upstairs is where some of the Broadway performers go after their shows!

We always go to Becco on 46th. I think they have the best pre-fix. It is an upscale Italian restaurant. The homemade pastas are incredible.
