But there is no baby in sight, lol. I guess another induction is in my future after all!
I have an appt. on Sat. to finalize dates etc.
Re: Today is my EDD.
So I've heard and read about sex, walking, pineapple, rasberry tea, nipple stimulation, spicy foods and a shot of brandy...if non of those get the baby moving maybe the weird combo of everything together will! lol
Good luck and either way within the next few days you'll have your little one in your arms!
I believe that they do eventually. However, depending on your viewpoint, leaving a baby for too long can incur other risks such as meconium in the lungs etc. At my local hospital I would have to fight very hard to stay pregnant past 41 weeks. For reference, my mother didn't have my sister and I until 2 and 3 days shy of 43 weeks respectively. While it would be nice to go into labor naturally (and I'm still hoping for it!) it's really not in the cards with my family history and I'm not willing to fight my doctor or what I personally deem good sense by being induced a few days after officially reaching full term. In full disclosure, I also had an induction with DD#1 and it went very well.
This is just my personal opinion though!
Happy EDD! You never know, you may go before you get induced! (we can hope, right?)
Come on out, baby!
Ben didn't want to come out at all. I went all the way to 42w before being induced. Even then my body never went into labour. I think he would still be in there if he was given the chance
I tried red raspberry leaf tea (doesn't induce labour - it ripens your cervix), evening primrose oil (same as the tea), pineapple, walking, sitting on a yoga ball, sex, nipple stimulation, herbs from the midwife, spicy food....I am sure there is more I am forgetting. None of it worked - like not at all.
I am a firm believer that the baby will come when it is ready. Hopefully you will go into labour soon!!
