he had to go to NY for work. He's going to be there a lot over the next two months, finishing up a big project.
What are you up to dear?
Aww, at least you get to sprawl out on the bed and watch girly movies to your heart's content for the next couple days.
Me? Just chilling and trying to re-download some software and bookmarks I lost today. To make a long story short - touchpad stopped working. 3 hours on phone with Staples tech support. Total system reboot which restored computer to factor settings. Lost all my crap. Took it in to Staples for them to tell me I hit a button that locks the touchpad. FML.

Dear god, that is horrible, I'm sorry. I'm not very good with the backup, so I'd loose a lot. We just had to return the laptop I've been using for 2 years to my previous employer, and bought a new one. So we had to move everything. I'm still a wreck thinking I forgot something vital.
Luckily I have a friend coming in tomorrow and spending two nights. She is a lush like me, so we should have a really good time - we'll go out to eat (which me and hubby rarely do) and go to a jazz club or something (which we never do). I have no girlfriends here, so whenever I get company I'm super excited. I may have her snuggle with me though, Aaron didn't get the air matress down before he left.

Luckily, since there wasn't much on it (got it 30 days ago), it wasn't as much sad as frustrating. The death of my old laptop was far worse.
Your weekend with your friend sounds great, esp. the snuggles! Wow, is tomorrow Friday already? Guess I need to figure out some sort of agenda.
Lucy Elizabeth 10.27.12
Yes! That is the one upswing of short weeks - Fridays always seem to come early (but Tuesdays REALLY suck)
KB, I did not know this. I'm kind of jealous you have all this geeky knowledge at your fingertips!
cruella - so true. But it looks like my weeks may get exponentially longer soon if I'm back to work full-time again. I'm probably an a-hole for loving my partial laid off-ness, and I don't want it to end yet.
Also -- WR question. Do you know much your shower hosts each contributed for your shower? My friend (a BM of mine) just got an email about another friend's wedding about the shower (next August!) and what their contribution is. Seems high to me and my friend. $200 plus gift.

WR question- - I only had 2 girls in my BP, and I have the suspicion they spent a lot more than that each. I agree it is a lot though, especially for a normal size BP. They didn't do gifts though, or sis more thoughtful type gifts. This was fine with me - they put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it all.
Ever watch the police women of broward county? I'm watching it now. I used to live in Broward, so its kind of funny. They just arrested this dad for growing pot in his house for himself. Totally normal guy. It didn't sit right with me.
I will totally play! on vac-ay. daquiris and hemingway by the pool all day. MIL watching babies in the hotel room, spa time--wine with dinner, bailey's on the rocks at irish pub, absolut and cranberry at piano bar + DH as DD=lots of fun for mama!!
PS-Hilton Head is rocking my universe--so much fun!!!
PPS-babies are now in our bed, which is why i'm online.?
I've watched the last several episodes. My dad's a retired cop, so obviously I'm biased, but it pains me when people get angry at officers for arresting people who are obviously breaking the law. Cops don't make laws, politicians do.
Sorry, I abandoned you guys for sweet sleep.
I totally agree with you kellybeth about the people that get all mad at the cops and fight with them when being arrested. This guys was totally passive and didn't fight or even argue about his arrest, he just explained his situation. They let him call his wife before they took him away so she could bail him out at the station. The cops were very reasonable with him, and only charged him with a small offense because they saw what was going on (he wasn't selling or anything). I was just commenting (but not very clearly) on my position on the legality of marijuana.
