Have you been to the High Line park?

I've been wanting to go but DH and i have rarely been in town on the weekends and when we are we're either too tired or cleaning our apartment! But i feel like this weekend could be the winner!

I just printed out the map for it. But how is it? Is it nice? Is it worth it?

TIA!

Re: Have you been to the High Line park?

  • It's a nice enough place to walk....there's not much in the way of really open space or grass (in fact there might not be any) but they do have these really neat sliding wooden lounge chairs built in to the old railroad tracks, and many of them are big enough to fit two people.  There's a nice view of the Hudson too.  It seems like it would be a great place to bring a book and hang out on a sunny day!

This exactly.  I went on a nice day and it was fun just to mill around the space and enjoy what I think of as a surprise space in the city.
