I know i posted about this during the summer, but i need more help.
I'd had my eye on reserving the party room at Flute Champagne Bar but was grappling with how much money we'd have to spend. DH and i went to an open house there last night (open bar + free hors d'ouevres = yay!) and then toured the party room and got more info. They require a *minimum* of $1500 to be spent to use their room! WTF?! I just can't justify spending that much money, even if we ask our friends who come to chip in $30 for the 2hrs of open bar. Ugh. ![]()
I'm thinking dinner at Benihana would be fun! I've never been and it's just kitschy enough for a 30th bday! This way, people can order what they want and be responsible for their own dinner/drinks budgets. And then...go to a bar in the area?
I've thought about bowling, roller skating, karaoke...but those get expensive too and i've pretty much done all of those. (except for roller skating) I feel our last option, in an effort to save money, is to have people over. But that means i have to supply some of the food/drinks, play hostess and clean up afterwards! And our place isn't huge so it gets crowded and loud pretty fast.
Anyone know of places where you can reserve a private/semi private room, order food and drinks, have fun and not owe them your first born in payment?
TIA!!
Re: Back to square 1! Need bday ideas...
If you are looking for kitschy cheesy fun....for my 25th bday my friends and I went to Medieval Times.
Talk about cheesy - my friends were moaning and groaning that that was where I was dragging everybody for my bday, but then they all had the best time. You get to wear stupid crowns and eat with your hands and cheer on your knight....and I had the king announce my bday during the show.
The pics from our Med. Times trip still manage to pop up everywhere. It was so much fun.
